The Porsche 911 Carrera was updated for the 1987 model year, featuring a more powerful 3.2-liter flat-six engine and a new 5-speed G50 manual transaxle, which provided a refined driving experience. This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in Black over a matching interior and features an optional 8-way power driver’s seat, a rear window wiper, an electric sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Showing approximately 72k miles on the odometer, this Carrera Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 911 is finished in Black and features H4 headlamps, integrated front fog lights, heated power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, and staggered-width 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. The seller notes the tires show 2021 production date codes, and the car’s exterior is in good overall condition, apart from some swirl marks and light scratches. The CARFAX shows no damages or accidents, although it reports the vehicle was stolen in 1991. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black partial leather interior includes an optional 8-way power-operated driver’s seat, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, a heater, cruise control, and an aftermarket Alpine head unit. A service invoice indicates that the air conditioning system was overhauled in 2015, including the replacement of the receiver drier, condenser blower, expansion valve, compressor, and hose repair.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 217 HP and 195 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. Service records show the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced along with the right front brake caliper, front brake pads, brake fluid, and shifter bushings in 2013 at 59k miles.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, service records, and a clean title.

Are there receipts for the engine rebuild that was apparently done by another shop between 2016–19?
Gabe confirmed Lorenzo was talking about customers other porsche -Thanks
@scvclassics leak down was not performed compression solid across all 6
Just spoke to Gabe, and was told that there was a mix up with the cars. The owner had 3 Pcars, and the 87 911 is NOT the one with the electrical drain. Any one concerned with this can call their shop and ask for the manager gabe. Happy bidding and good luck
between the 2021 tire comment and IMO concerns that parasitic drain should have been disclosed when asked has me hesitant to make a bid - understand overcoming an electic issue is not that expensive - just gets me wondering what else I don't know. Going to sleep on it.
@OldSchool-having owned an ‘88 with otherwise similar specs, it too suffered from a battery drain that was fixed by disconnecting the old after-market alarm system. In updating other electrical components, I had the entire alarm system and wires removed. The frunk is now a much cleaner space.
Looks like the compression range is between 160-180. Was there a leakdown done as well?

I spoke with Lorenzo at Larry's yesterday - and looking at the carfax battery issues. Not talking about 2013. Perhaps he was going off to start someone else's 1987 Carrera with a battery issue and confused the two cars? I will look into that if I have the time before the auction closes. Glad you are willing to address if needed. Thanks - Car looks good.
@OldSchool you are referring to a reciept from 2013 in which they put a new battery and cut off switch. the car that we are aware of has no electrical drain. We havent had any starting issues it is in our warehouse now and like all of our cars on a electrical tender. If there is some sort of drain that pops up in a PPI we will handle any cost associated with the repair.
I called Larry’s yesterday trying to set up a PPI. The mechanic that did most of the repair work on this vehicle in recent years. I was told they. were going out to get it started and that there is some type of electrical drain. The sellers comment that the vehicle is ready to drive gives me pause.. question to the seller. Will you get the electrical work done as part of the sale?
@mkem5 this is a non smoker car just uploaded a photo with sunroof open

You mention ash tray - are there any smoke smells in the car? Also would it be possible to post a picture of sunroof open (unless I missed it - if so sorry).
Bid in the amount of $46,000
Was looking into a PPI in Miami. Car fax showed your work is done at Larry's. Can your comment on the electrical system and any battery drain?
@OldSchool Non stop rain yesterday and today so we havent been able to do a drive video, no starting issues, drive it back with confidence, would only suggest to get a new set of tires only due to age
Great - I would have to drive back to DC area - any issues w it starting reliably now? Electric etc? Driving video comming?

Beautiful piece , was the car repainted ! Or this is the original paint ?
Bid in the amount of $45,000
@idazona the car has some paintwork tommorow we will upload paint meter readings
@RotesAuto the ash tray hinge was repaired and the ash tray is now installed and works . The pipe that connects to the heater blower was removed in order to fit the electric fans mounted on the condenser
Will the ash tray be included with the car? Also it appears the engine mounted heater blower duct has been butchered. @seller Can you comment on that?
@Alex_v yes all gauges work as they should, the ac has been upgraded and works well will send a temp reading photo out of ac vent monday
Original paint?
Bid in the amount of $28,911
Please advise if everything works on the car as it should, all gauges, switches and most importantly the A/C.
Many thanks!
Bid in the amount of $28,027
Pretty car, great year. Just a nitpick two of the tires are clearly photographed with 2017 date codes not 2021. GLWTS
@sixgt3 underside photos and paint meter readings will be uploaded monday
Great looking car. Any pictures of the underside? or did I miss it.
@Billythemountain yes the car still has torsion bar factory suspension which is easily adjustable to change the ride height. This is set to euro height but can be raised before delivery if buyer requests
