Marking the final iteration in the original 911 lineage, this G-series Carrera is equipped with a desirable G-50 5-speed manual transmission as well as a factory aero package. Having spent its entire life in the Midwest up until the current owner’s purchase, this 1987 example carries a rebuilt and upgraded 3.4L engine and is now being offered for auction in turn-key condition by its seller in San Diego, CA.
The Guards Red finish on this Carrera is stated to be in excellent driver-grade condition. The body of the car is straight with original VIN stickers remaining on all panels. Exterior features include a factory aero package, Euro ride height and staggered 6/7” Fuchs wheels with hand painted center caps and Hankook tires. This is a truly clean and well-sorted example.
This Carrera is appointed in a black leather interior which is said to remain in excellent condition only showing age-appropriate patina with all gauges, electronics and accessories fully functional. The dashboard is completely intact and the interior retains its stock appearance with the exception of an upgraded head unit.
This Carrera carries a numbers-matching naturally aspirated flat-six engine that has been built-up from a 3.2L to a 3.4L displacement for increased horsepower and improved throttle response. Does the air conditioner work?
@driventexas the motor work was completed in 2006 when the car had 77k miles at a shop in Peoria IL called Kauth and Mayeur. Let me know if you have any other questions.
