Offering increased horsepower and a new 5-speed G50 manual gearbox for the 1987 model year, this Carrera Cabriolet comes finished in Grand Prix White over a black interior. It was factory equipped with Fuchs forged alloy wheels and Sports Shock Absorbers. The car spent time in Maryland, New Jersey, Arizona, and New York where it was acquired by the seller in 2022. This Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction showing just over 18k miles on the odometer.

This 911 is finished in Grand Prix White with a black cabriolet roof and matching boot cover. Equipment includes a front valence with integrated fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, and rear stone guards decals. A rear spoiler has been fitted and the car rides on a set of factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in Bridgestone S-02 tires. Some wear is noted on the soft top near the side window edges, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

The black partial leather interior includes custom white instrument dials and an upgraded Alpine radio. The driver is also provided with power windows and door locks, cruise control, climate control, and electrically adjustable seats. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.

Rated at 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque, the Carrera’s 3.2-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. The seller states service at 14k miles included new drive belts, an oil change, brake fluid flush, and new tires.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

Disregard my last comment; I just picked up that the rear spoiler was fitted by one of the owners. Would still like to see the option sticker though.

  • josephvman (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Can the seller post a pic of the option code sticker that should be on the underside of the front bonnet. It's odd that one of these cars has a rear spoiler but no front one, which makes me think the rear was installed after delivery. The option sticker would let us know.

    @Billythemountain so true!

dang this car looks great in b&w! As for "I never had one of these that blows really cold", it's a cab dude, roll it down. That said, I usually boost mine ('89 cab) every 2 yrs or so, they put dye in to spot leaks but never amounts to anything.

@TheGerman There are always low mileage Porsches hidden away.I'm glad to have this one to offer.
The reserve is based on market value for clean low mileage car.
    Thanks and good luck!

thx for the pics, I got them right now.

    @ pikll (seller)

Ok so I'm waiting for your photos from the wear and of the paintmeter.
I have a strong interest in this car, but unfortunately I'm in Germany and that's the reason why I must bid in confidence to your descriptions. My main problem will be to "feel" your reserve.

When you bought this car, could you find out from someone why the car has so little miles? It's very unusual for a PORSCHE with 35 years.

    @jamesechristian 2017...key stroke error..sorry

  • pikll (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@jamesechristian The 3 tires are from 2011 and there is no sign of any dry rot deterioration

  • pikll (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@TheGerman We have done a lubrication service here which it was only due for by time.
The books only have stamps from delivery and a 1st service.
That was right about the time where everything got computerized and book stamping was only done when requested.
This is as nice of an example that I've seen in awhile, please have it inspected if you have strong interest.

@jamesechristian The start up video is right in the main photo gallery. This has mostly been in climate controlled storage recently.

  • pikll (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@TheGerman The AC blows cold,I never had one of these that blows really cold..including my 88 with 6k miles which I purchased new.I'm sure if you force in another lb of freon it could be colder.
I am checking with our photographer to find out where the rest of the photos and meter reading are and get them posted.
    Thanks for the interest!

  • TheGerman (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

    @ pikll (seller)
    - do you have a stamped maintenance booklet and/or records of the done services?
    - blows the A/C only cool or really cold?

"Some wear is noted on the soft top near the side window edges, detailed images are provided in the gallery"

Up to now can't find the pics of those wear and the paintmeter readingsare missing too.
    Pls post those pics

  • jamesechristian (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

The paint meter readings aren't in the gallery, can you please post them up? Thanks you.

  • jamesechristian (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

I see one tire replaced, so what are the date codes on the other 3? Seems it was last serviced in 2018 in Arizona, then resold a couple of times in NY, and really not driven much at all. If all is well, then, would you be able to post a start-up video, and maybe a short drive video?

  • Richard-2019 (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

What a great example. All sorted? G-50 transmission? Should do well.

  • pikll (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@live2drive_porsche The rear spoiler looks to have been dealer installed, more than likely at point of original sale but have nothing to show that.
I’m sure the deck is the original one to the car. No panels have been replaced and the paint is all original and has been metered.
    Thanks

  • live2drive_porsche (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Is the original rear deck available?

  • pikll (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@911symphony The top is manual and the window has a zipper.
    Thanks for the inquiry!

  • 911symphony (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

    Is the top electric?
Does the back plastic window unzip??
