This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe has undergone a remarkable transformation courtesy of the skilled artisans at ROCS Motorsports, who have endowed it with striking aesthetic modifications and an impressively lightweight interior. The overhaul includes widened fenders, bespoke bumpers, a lowered European stance, bolstered Cobra seats, RS-inspired interior detailing, a Momo steering wheel, Wevo shifter, and a host of other refinements. This custom ROCS Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Maryland.
Factory finished in Black, this example has been fitted with flared wheel arches, restyled fiberglass bumpers, a custom fiberglass front splitter, upgraded headlights, Turbo-style mirrors, and a European-specification ride height. Additionally, a removable Martini-style livery was applied, a custom front air intake was created from the rear decklid of another vehicle, and the rocker panels were deleted to expose the oil cooler lines. It rides on staggered-width 16” Fuchs wheels wrapped in Pirelli Rossa tires from 2021 driven approximately 3,500 miles. The seller adds that the fitment of the hand-flared arches resulted in some paint blending, the front bumper was punctured twice then fixed & refinished by Karosserie in Pennsylvania, and minor dings and road rash are consistent with the car's age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior has undergone extensive modifications including lightweight ROCS-branded Cobra bucket seats, RS-style door panels, and lightweight carpeting covered with Coco floor mats in the footwells. Further enhancements include the installation of a MOMO Mod7 steering wheel, a meticulously refurbished speedometer boasting a striking red hue and a 10k-RPM display, an exposed gearbox paired with a Wevo shifter, and the integration of a custom ROCS battery kill switch in place of the clock. The air conditioning system and rear seats have been removed for weight reduction. Occupants can enjoy modern conveniences with a Porsche Classic stereo system equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be fully functional.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine produces up to 217 HP and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. Standard equipment includes an electronic fuel injection/ignition system, an engine oil cooler, rack & pinion steering, 4-weel independent suspension, and front & rear stabilizer bars. The seller states regular maintenance has been performed and the vehicle was prepared for the spring season after winter storage under their ownership.
This sale will include a clean title and a window sticker.
The seller would like you to know: "I have had the honor of being part of this vehicle’s story for the last 3.5 years. My desire was to make it unique. With the help of ROCS Motorsports, I believe I accomplished my goal. It is an absolute show-stopper. The sound is like music. The engine starts up every time without issue. Despite all of this, it is time for someone else to enjoy this magnificent machine and make it their own."

I’m a little surprised by the lack of bidding here, this is a nice car and Rich does a great job preparing them

@Johnny1 I do not, unfortunately. It was prior to me acquiring the car. At worst, it seems approx 10k more than what is showing.
Can you add any more context to the mileage. Carfax indicates might be rolled back do you know the story?
Removing the decals will reduce even more weight.
@TFerrer see additional photos just uploaded re: flares.
Not sure the other comments need a response.

Lighten the car? With the heavy tail and a 40lb Interstate battery? Those look like standard Carrera flares to my eyes.
@eggsandwich only the a/c…not the heater.
Whilst stock, the aircon/heater has been removed?

I love the term endowed! Do you have any pre “endowed” photos?
Very nice and I like how the engine is stock - might actually pass the California smog test.
@Al_Cantara if by using the word “sheep” you mean the stock 3.2, yes…the engine has not been touched. A blank canvass for the next owner should that individual want more power.
The purpose of the modifications was to lighten the car and, therefore, make it quicker…and it is!
Also, I understand that the livery and colors may not be your thing but truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to educate the Pcar marketplace about your opinions.
A sheep wearing stripes. Needs more stripes and colors!
A couple other clarifications and additions: the custom front splitter is carbon kevlar - incredibly strong.
The metal floor boards and dead pedal are custom. The gas pedal is Rennline.
The car has a SW chip.
Regarding the flared wheel arches, these were meticulously done by hand to give a narrow body car the appearance of something a bit wider - they are not add on pieces.
The car comes with 3 regular Porsche keys with light and a retro key with holes, and a Porsche air compressor.
The hood pins work in conjunction with the interior “frunk” lever.

Having seen and heard this car in person-its even better than in the pictures. Met the owner at the local Cars and Coffee and made friends over the hood of this car. It's a stunner, no expense was spared. As they say, it brings all the boys to the yard. It's that magnetic. Bid with confidence that it's as represented, the seller is one of the good guys. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I could afford it.
@robbylou thank you for requesting clarification. They are 7’s and 9’s
@Dauntless I will double check but I believe it’s MK GT style wrapped in exhaust tape.
Are the wheels 7” and 8” or are those 9” in the rear? Thanks
What exhaust is that?
Very cool 911!
Greetings and welcome to my auction! Good luck to everyone. This is a very special car that will provide a great deal of joy to its new owner as it has for me.
