This 1987 Pontiac Fiero SE is said to be one of seven cars transformed into Porsche Carrera GT replicas by the custom coachbuilders at Chariots of Fire. The car is said to have been originally built for a doctor in Southern California who wished to preserve is authentic Carrera GT while driving this replica in its place. It comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission paired with a V6 engine, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, power windows, a custom interior, racing bucket seats, and aftermarket three-piece wheels. This unique Carrera GT replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Fiero has been modified with custom fiberglass Carrera GT-style bodywork including bumpers, fenders, doors, rockers, mirrors, headlamps, a rear spoiler, and a double-hump engine cover. Other details include Carrera GT-style headlights and taillights, faux side air intakes, a removable roof panel, dual exhaust outlets, and aftermarket 18” three-piece wheels. The seller states new Dunlop SP Sport tires were mounted about two years ago and the car remains in good overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior has been customized with a Carrera GT-style center console and a pair of racing bucket seats along with a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. Accessories include a polished shift knob, power windows, air conditioning, custom AutoMeter gages, and a stereo with speakers mounted behind the headrests.
This Fiero is equipped with a 2.8-liter V6 engine that delivers up to 136 HP and 165 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Muncie Getrag 5-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment includes independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.
This sale will include a clean title.

This thing actually looks fantastic. Nice work. GLTA
How realistic would it be to swap out the Fiero drive train with an honest to god fire breathing V8?
Design wise, make at least a better looking front. it wouldn't have needed this level of detail . Bad GM designers.
I am building a Porsche Carrera GT into a Fiero. I mean, you see the GT’s everywhere. When’s the last time you saw a Fiero on the road? Actually, this is a really cool build. I like it a lot!
@renchris it would cost to much. What do you think it cost to make it look like this??
Why didn't they make the Fiero look like this to begin with?
