Introduced in 1986, the Mercedes-Benz 560SL was the top trim model of the R107 SL-Class. Updates for the SL included a revised braking system and a deeper front air dam, while the 560 SL trim would receive an upgraded suspension, a 5.5-liter V8 engine, and a limited-slip differential. This 1987 example is finished in Arctic White over a Royal Blue leather interior and features a blue soft top, a removable hardtop, chrome 15” wheels, a Becker stereo, and more. This 560SL is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon showing approximately 66k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Arctic White (147U) with a blue convertible soft top and a paint-matched removable hardtop, the 560SL is equipped with quad headlights, fog lights, chrome-plated 15” alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Defender tires, and chrome scent trim. The seller states that the driver’s door was repainted, as well as refinishing of the top of the passenger-side quarter panel and the panel behind the top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Royal Blue leather upholstery on its bucket seats along with a matching center console and door panels. Factory equipment includes a Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo, an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, a 4-spoke steering wheel, floor mats, and automatic climate control. The seller notes that the factory Becker Grand Prix stereo has been refurbished and fitted with a Bluetooth module and that cruise control is currently inoperative.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.6L M117 V8, the 560SL generates up to 227 HP and 279 lb.-ft of torque sent to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes are included as standard equipment. A battery tender is mounted in the trunk, and the seller notes that the hood pad has been replaced in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, some documentation, a toolkit, and a clean title.

The softtop looks to be original and is in VERY good shape. The A/C has been converted. I charged it when I got it so it can be said after the retro fit it did drop a charge but that is almost to be expected no matter if it was retro fitted or not. I have a photo (can't believe it wasn't in the gallery and have no idea how to add it this very second) of the A/C on and reading 20 degrees C on an 80 degree F day.

Sorry for my late question:
- has the A/C already converted to R134a, otherwise I can't import it to Germany.
- does the A/C blow cool or icecold?
- how old is the softtop?
Thx

1 family ownership to this car! I was going to post this tomorrow, but you beat me to it. Original owners purchased it new in Ohio when he retired. Moved to their home in Florida then to the Pacific NW. Sadly, both passed away and the car was given to their grandson. Grandson had a growing family and didn't use it much nor could but kept it for sentimental reasons. Time came to move on, so it did through another dealers' hands who knows I have an affection for 107 body SLs, and now here it is.
How many owners?
Once again good morning to all! When viewing this SL please be reminded we have taken painstaking efforts to present a car both top and bottom at the utmost level of detail. This car spent 1 week going over any and all brightwork, plastics, undercarriage and exterior polishing and shows like no other. Of all the 107 bodied SLs I have had this certainly is one of the best I have had.
I did receive a question last evening regarding the tires which are all less than 4 months old, at the same time I had the original wheels to the car chromed in L.A. and installed all at the same time. This car has been driven less than 50 miles during my ownership and less than 20 since its completion.
Best of luck again to all!!
