Collectively referred to as the “Rounded Line” trucks, the third-generation Chevrolet C/K series was produced for nearly two decades and became one of the most popular pickup trucks in history with distinctive squared bodywork. This 1987 V10 Silverado marks the first year in which the C/K series transitioned to the "R/V" nameplate and comes equipped with a 350ci V8 engine, all-wheel-drive, an automatic overdrive transmission, and air conditioning as well as power windows, locks, steering, and brakes. Said to have remained in the same collection for many years, this Silverado shows approximately 26k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma.
This Silverado is said to have been refinished in its factory Bright Red (72) and white colorway under previous ownership in 1997. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, mirrors, and trim, a sliding rear window, dual exhaust pipes, and 15” steel wheels fitted with new BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and “4x4” logo center caps.
The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in Burgundy velour upholstery with color-coordinated carpets, door panels, and headliner. Accessories include optional power windows and locks, air conditioning, and an original Delco AM/FM cassette stereo. The seller adds that the interior remains in excellent original condition with all instruments working properly.
Up to 210 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque comes from a fuel-injected 350ci V8 engine paired with an optional 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and dual-range transfer case sending power to the rear or all four wheels. The seller notes the truck has been very well taken care of and there are no outstanding maintenance items.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

Guys, this truck easily fits the part of a 26k original mile truck on its survivor appearance and condition, and we had assumed the CarFax capabilities of the past potentially mislabeled this truck at some point, but please bid on it as you see it reading out.
With that being said, we all know the current and climbing values of a top Survivor Condition truck setup and optioned this way, so do bid with confidence this truck fits the part of a super nice survivor. Thanks for the feedback.
@911scout. Thank you being more specific with the mileage and history question. You're right on with value issue. I too was interested in bidding on a legit truck. The pics of this look nice. I reached out to PCARMARKET last night for some clarification and have gotten no response.
@BD1000 I was wondering if you could provide us with what you know about the ownership history including yours and the timelines involved please? Another thing I'd like to understand is why was the truck was painted in 1997? It would have been 10 yrs old with less than 10,000 miles assuming the mileage accumulated at a linear rate to the current 26,000 miles. You stated the interior is original, but not the exterior & undercarriage? Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $11,500
@911scout Thank you for the comment, the seller stated it to be the original mileage and the ad reflects that. With that being said, please hit the contact seller button and try to have a conversation with the seller to address your concerns. We want you to be comfortable and do your due diligence prior to bidding. If anything is discovered that we should be aware of please contact our help desk or leave a comment right away. Best of luck!
@BD1000 @PCARMARKET - I am an interested in bidding but would like some clarification about the mileage if you can provide. Carefully looking over the CarFax the short bed looks to have been owned by a Chevy Dealer most of it's life in South Carolina. Then it went through a local auction where the miles were recorded as about 19K after the continual SC registration notes miles going over 100K on a 5 digit odometer. Likely a mistake. Being owned by a Chevy Dealer they would have access to NOS and other parts to keep this model exceptionally clean and likely resprayed and reconditioned interior. @BD1000 from you post "don’t know if Carfax was that correct back in the early 90s and early 2000s but the truck does represent to show to have 26K miles on the truck far as condition and wear and tear on the truck" are you representing this a 26K truck? All that being said, what mileage is on the current title? Is it a mileage exempt title? I just don't want to be the owner of a vehicle with questionable mileage history (aka ODO rollback). I do agree shortbox square bodies are desirable in almost any condition, but there is a large gap in value between 26K and 126K or a vehicle with questionable mileage history. Thank you.

@PCARMARKET
@BD1000
What are you representing the Mike’s to be on this truck?
It clearly states 26k in the title. “26K-MILE 1987 CHEVROLET V10 SILVERADO 4X4”
Mileage on the Carfax on 6/23/15 is over 115,000 miles.
Please explain
@BD1000 how much time left on auction

Bid in the amount of $8,250

@PCARMARKET OK
Bid in the amount of $7,500
This looks to be a really clean survivor example of what is a typically destroyed or worked truck line back in the day, so not very many examples like this left today.
If anyone has been following the square body Original and Custom market, they would know this one still has a Long Way to go from its current bids, so let’s hope this one finds the right home where it is valued.
@BD1000 no, sir reserve has not been met. But if you have any questions, I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
@zr900cat please do not ask about the reserve. Our process is to keep it private for good reason. Thank you.
@BD1000 Thanks, I knew it was a wide bed but like I said the pics on length left me wondering, Thanks again, has the reserve been met ??
@zr900cat it’s a short wide bed
Is this a short box or long box, pictures are deceiving
Bid in the amount of $6,500
@Pedigree
Well sai
@HoustonATX the interior is original. Besides the headliner and the pockets on the door panel. If you need more pics or videos I can send them. Thank you
Looks like a super nice truck but now that I saw the CarFax it is clearly 125k miles. It is a shame that Pcar wouldn’t have caught this and the selling dealer certainly knows as well. It is clear as day.
Do you believe the interior to be original? Or was it redone at the same time as the respray?
Bid in the amount of $5,500
@twinvipers Honestly, I don’t know if Carfax was that correct back in the early 90s and early 2000s but the truck does represent to show to have 26K miles on the truck far as condition and wear and tear on the truck. Everything that is supposed to be on the truck is there it is in great shape, I am more than willing to send photos videos to help with that.
Nice truck. Curious how @Pcarmarket can list this as 25k miles when clearly Carfax says otherwise???
