Produced in collaboration with McLaren Performance Technologies/ASC, the 1987 Buick GNX is powered by a turbocharged V6 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. This example is #073 of 547 cars produced during the single model year and it is finished in Black over a two-tone black and Sand Gray upholstered interior. Equipment includes 16″ cross-lace wheels, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, and more. This Buick is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas showing less than 19k miles on the odometer.
With all 547 examples finished in Black, the GNX features heat-extracting fender vents, flared wheel arches, a three-piece rear spoiler, and model-specific badging. It rides on 16” cross-lace wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich gForce Sport tires showing date codes from 2015-2021. Additional appointments include a power antenna and dual exhaust outlets. The seller reports that LED headlights have been fitted and the car to have been refinished approximately 6 years ago. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings, and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features black and Sand Gray cloth upholstered front bucket seats, a rear bench, and Turbo 6 embroidered headrests on the front seats. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable, and additional equipment includes a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. A plaque is mounted on the passenger side dashboard indicating this car to be #073. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to function as intended, with no warning lights present.
Powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6, the Buick’s engine was modified by ASC/McLaren with a Garrett T3 turbocharger, mounted under a GNX-lettered heat shield, in addition to a larger air-to-air intercooler and a low-restriction exhaust system. The GNX sends up to 276 horsepower and 360 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a Turbo-Hydramatic 200R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a factory-upgraded oil cooler and a limited-slip differential. Other factory performance equipment consists of front suspension components borrowed from the Grand National, upgraded rear components including a Panhard rod, torque arm, and an additional frame cross-member, with braking handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller reports to have removed the resonator from the exhaust system, as well as having installed a remote starter system, and a larger aluminum radiator.
This sale will include its original tires, a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very nice low production number GNX”

@vengerider I will get those posted in the morning , he dropped something on the roof and scratched it and no I do not have any documentation , however I can tell you the paint is as a mirror finish. I tried to show down the sides of the car in the video how clean and straight it is and that is hard to do on a black car.
@Lambogas Listing states paint meter readings are in the gallery but I don't see any....What was the reason for the repaint? Any receipts or photo documentation of it being painted?
