Up for auction is this 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo finished in the highly desirable combination of Stone Grey Metallic over a Burgundy partial leather interior. Carrying a turbocharged inline-4 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, this 944 also highlights factory Sport Seats, original phone dial wheels, and a timing belt service which was reportedly carried out in 2020. Having spent time in the Midwest, California, and Colorado, this 944 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller in Florida while showing approximately 88k miles on the odometer, accompanied by the original books, tools, window sticker, and a clean title.
The Stone Grey Metallic finish is noted by the seller to be in very good condition while appearing all-original. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Compared with the standard 944, the Turbo model features an aerodynamically improved nose and a body-colored diffuser located below the rear valance. This example retains factory 16” Phone Dial wheels that are said to have been mounted with new tires within the last 3 years.
The exterior finish is complemented by a Burgundy leather/leatherette-upholstered cabin with desirable Sport Seats. Factory features include an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, power accessories, cruise control, and a detachable sunroof panel. An aftermarket stereo has been installed and the original Blaupunkt radio is said to be included in the sale. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly and the cabin is described to be in good overall condition with minor signs of wear.
Representing the first model year of the 944 Turbo, this example was debuted with a new turbocharged and intercooled version of the standard 944’s 2.5 L inline-4 engine. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle and the seller reports that adjustable Koni shock absorbers have been installed. The original window sticker also suggests an optional limited-slip differential to have been equipped from the factory. A timing belt service was reportedly carried out in 2020 along with the recent replacements of the oil pressure switch, valve cover gasket, and cam O-rings. Some service records are said to be included and this Turbo is stated to be in strong running order at this time.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner’s manuals, the original tools, air pump, service records, the original radio, and a clean title. The 944 Turbo is one of the most increasingly sought after and valuable classic Porsches on the market, do not miss out on this beautifully configured 1986 example.

Good morning there are still 2 days left on my auction.
Today at noon time I will Face-time the car with a Gentleman from Las Vegas, so that he will be able to see car condition alive, hear the engine and also go for a Test Drive.
(Virtual Cars & Coffee), amazing ah...
I'll be more than happy to schedule other showing during the weekend.
Just let me now so that we can arrange ahead of time.
I think that this option might help a lot.
Have a nice day!
N.: On my next auction I will add T-Shirts and Logo Caps at a reasonable price.(Souvenirs).
@JNasty Hi thanks for your interest. There is no crack on the dashboard.
Please watch the "Interior Video", at the end I clearly show the whole dashboard excellent condition.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you!
@Principe - any dash cracks at all?
Video content has been added to the listing page.
@Principe Good luck with the sale!
@Seanmo Thanks! Looking forward for your bid or comments.
@Abuong01 Thanks for the comment.
I do love the FUCH Wheels!
I know exactly what you are talking in regards to the "Turbo lag".
Please allow me to tell you that this very simple "Boost enhancer",(Adjustable boost pressure relief valve), really makes a difference.
And finally, Yes, to me the color combination together with interior condition specially on the Sport seats, make a huge difference. Very unique and hard to find.
Take care!
@flashnine1974 Good morning!
Yes I live in Naples,Fl all year around and that's where the car is located.
Thanks
@Loudoun_Prime Hi again!
I have not checked the dates on the tires to be honest. In any case, unless the dates reflect that they are not a fresh set of tires and in the event that the reserve is met and the car sold, I will deliver it with a new set of tires, (HANCOCK Ventus V2 Concept2), or offer a Credit value to the Buyer in the amount of $350.00 (TireRack.com quote).
The last oil and filter service was done on 01/14/2021 @88328 miles together with the gaskets and Oil pressure switch services. Since it was my mechanic's garage new years gift, it was Free of charge and not invoiced. In any case I can ask him, if requested, for a proof of Service. This is not a problem.
Now, regarding the Clutch and Brakes condition and after having more than Six of these cars, (944 S; 944S2 Coupes(2);944 Cabrio(2);944 Turbo(3), I can tell you that the Clutch and/or clutch components, they are in perfect working condition, in my opinion. There is absolutely no vibration, no clanking noises, no slipping, no nothing. Same with the Tube Torque Converter, (another critical component), both are in perfect condition. Also the Transmission, Synchros, etc. As per the Brake Rotors and Pads, Master cylinder, they are also in excellent shape. If it's possible tomorrow, I will take pics of the Rotors and Pads, (wheels off) and post/add them to the listing.
Now, if you want me to calculate or guesstimate the remaining useful life of these components I can tell that ; As per my driving skills and/or manners, there is a remaining useful life of them of about at least 40%. In any case that's only my opinion and according to how I am used to driving my cars, not that smooth but always gentle. But then again and with all my respect, that's quoting me as the Driver...
I have an 86 951 with the FUCHS wheels, these are great cars to drive, turbo lag noticeable down low but once you get revs up it takes off and remains in the powerband. Good luck to all on this one. Nice color combo too...
I love these cars. Will be watching this one...
WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED IN NAPLES, I MAY TRY TO STOP BY. THANKS
Also - when was the last oil change done? Thanks!
@Principe thanks! I see the tire receipt in 2013. Have the tires been changed since then? Any sense of the remaining life of the brakes or clutch?
@Loudoun_Prime Hi! Thank you very much for your Bid and interest in my car.
Everything is in good working order including the rear hatch, electronic remote opening, etc, etc.
Cold AC, smooth transmission, excellent clutch,brakes, etc.
I will post a couple of Videos driving the car a little bit harder than usual.
Thanks again and please keep in touch.
