Finished in Stone Grey Metallic over a black and Linen interior, this 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo was purchased by the current owner in 2015 and has been extensively upgraded with a rebuilt 1988 Turbo S engine, a “340WHP” Lindsey Racing performance package, Koni sport shocks, and a Stage III clutch kit. It has also been modified with a 924 Turbo nose, a 968 rear spoiler, 17” Fikse forged wheels, a front splitter, and LED dash lights. This tastefully modified 944 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Iowa with approximately 117k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior of this 944 is finished in Stone Grey Metallic and has been customized with a 924 Turbo (931) style front end featuring quad air inlets on the nose and a lip spoiler below. Other equipment includes pop-up headlamps with upgraded LED lights, black stone guard decals, a Porsche 968 rear spoiler, a body-colored rear diffuser, a rear window wiper, a manually operated sunroof, and a polished exhaust pipe. Black Porsche-branded brake calipers are mounted behind aftermarket 17” Fikse forged alloy wheels. The seller notes a new OEM windshield has been installed and the door, sunroof, and rear hatch seals have been replaced. The car rides on new BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires and the original 16” phone dial alloy wheels are included with older tires. Some dings and scratches are noted on the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features power-adjustable black seats complemented by Linen carpets and matching door panels. Accessories include a black three-spoke steering wheel, auxiliary boost and AFR gauges on the A-pillar, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, carpet floor mats, Turbo logo door sills, a digital dashboard clock, and an aftermarket Alpine radio. The seller indicates the seat color has been changed to black, the dashboard has been re-covered, and the dashboard lights have been upgraded to LEDs.
