We are pleased to present this exceptional 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo finished in Black over a special Cancan Red leather interior. Reported to have been kept under the care of its original owner in Ohio up until 2014, this highly original and numbers matching 1986 example spent time in 2 prominent collections before being acquired by the current owner in 2018. Now displaying just over 6k miles on the odometer, this collector-grade 930 is now being offered by its seller in Utah accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The factory specified Black finish on this 930 is reported to be in excellent condition (detailed images and a paint meter reading video are provided for reference). This Turbo is recognizable by its wide fenders, extended front valance and iconic “tea tray” rear spoiler. Noteworthy features include an electric sliding sunroof, integrated front fog lights and factory staggered-width 16” Fuchs alloy wheels which retain period Bridgestone RE71 tires date coded from 1986.
Inside, the cabin is appointed in special Cancan Red leather with matching door panels and a black dashboard. The interior is noted to be entirely stock with the original Blaupunkt stereo remaining fully functional along with all other gauges and accessories. Factory options include Sport Seats with electric height adjustment, an alarm system and air conditioning.
An air-cooled 3.3 L flat-six turbocharged engine sends 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with factory optioned limited slip differential. Both the engine and transmission stampings are also noted to be consistent with the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. This 930 is said to have undergone proper routine maintenance during its time in private collections with the most recent service performed in January of 2020 which included an oil change and new battery.
This sale will include 1 master key and the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity as well as the original books, tools, spare tire and air pump. Showing just over 6k miles on the odometer while remaining in pristine, highly original condition, this 930 makes the perfect choice for any discerning Porsche collector.

@Charlie83 No warping on the dash. I inspected the car again. Under close inspection, I did find one rock chip on the bumper, nothing on the hood. The chip has been touched up with paint so it's hard to spot. Perhaps you are seeing dust, bugs, or light reflections. Other than the one filled in rock chip that I found, I stand by my previous statement. Thanks for the double check!
Is there any warping on the dash? Also I saw your comment you mentioned there are no rock chips but I see quite a few on the lower front bumper? Thanks in advance
@Npineda Yes, there is a reserve in place.
@Davidmohlman There are no major or minor stone chips to the paint. There are no scratches on the paint. I see some very, very, very light marks on in the clear coat, certainly not close to the paint. The factory stone guard on the rear quarters shows some stone hits. I have few records up to 2003 with Carfax and stamps in the service book. After that point, the service records either weren’t recorded or passed on. The last service was in January of 2020. Oil service, new battery. When it held in private collections it received in-house maintenance and dedicated care.
Does this auction have a reserve?
Bid in the amount of $7,500
@SVAutoClub @SVAutoShep please advise if:
a. major stone chips
b. scratches or flaw whatsoever in the paint
c. when was the most recent major service performed and are there records from new
Thanks very much.
Helo to all. Welcome, I'm available to answer questions throughout the auction. This is a stock 1986 Porsche without modifications. The main point that I would like to convey is that this Turbo has never been put into deep storage. It has never had a "wake" up service because it's never been put to sleep. Confidently bid if you want a pristine low mileage collector. Confidently bid if you want to put new tires on and enjoy the drive the wheels off. It's equally suited to do both.
WOW! My dream car!
