This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe comes finished in Black over a Cashmere Beige leather interior and is said to have been retrofitted with full Slant Nose bodywork by the original selling dealership. The car has been further enhanced with 17” RUF wheels and a custom 3.4-liter engine build featuring RS camshafts, an ANDIAL intercooler, a larger turbocharger, and several other high-end modifications. Supported by major recent service, this 930 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Houston.

The seller states that OEM steel Slant Nose fenders were installed by the original selling dealer along with corresponding boxed rocker panels, pop-up headlamps, and straked side air intakes. The front valence houses integrated fog lights and a cutout for the front-mounted oil cooler. Red-painted brake calipers are tucked behind 17” RUF wheels dressed in new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is lined with black carpeting and trimmed in Cashmere Beige leather including a pair of optional electric Sport Seats. Accessories include drilled aluminum pedal covers, “Porsche 930” branded floor mats, a vintage three-spoke Dino steering wheel, and an aftermarket stereo system. The car was also offered with a sunroof, cruise control, power windows, and air conditioning as factory equipment. The seller adds that the A/C refrigerant has been updated to use R134a as of 2021.

Power comes from a custom turbocharged 3.4-liter flat-six engine built with JE pistons, Carillo connecting rods, a Carrera intake manifold, and 964 Carrera RS camshafts along with an Autronic standalone ECU, electronic fuel injection, MSD ignition, and uprated fuel pumps. The aftermarket turbocharger is paired with a Turbo Thomas straight pipe exhaust system, a TiAL wastegate and blowoff valve, and an ANDIAL intercooler. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential as well as a 935-style clutch and modified 3-4th gears. The seller reports recent service to include new engine mounts, spark plugs, rear wheel bearings, and all new brake pads and rotors. Some oil seepage has been identified near the rocker box and some smoke appears from the exhaust upon startup.

    Had the same car, same color M.Y 1989. Sold too soon, the one that got away. Went back to Germany. Left the Port of Long Beach and was not strapped down well enough by the workers. As the crate was being unloaded after a couple of weeks at sea it was tiled forward, the straps broke and the slantnose became a crush nose. I felt so bad for the buyer. To this day with many cars visiting the garage, this was one of the few that gave the heart a bump every time I got it. Very good luck with sale Seller.

    Yes, the exhaust will be problematic ( for Ca smog ! )
    If you have time and interest perhaps you could investigate what a factory muffler with cats etc , might cost me
    I would have to add that to my out of pocket including Buyer's fee, shipping , Lic / Reg taxes

    @sportscarguy3 Unfortunately living in texas i have no knowledge of the cali smog rules. In texas if its over 25 years old they simply do a safety inspection and the old emissions stuff is no longer relevant. Hopefully california has a similar rule though it sounds like it may not... If they are going to require a cat, a custom exhaust will need to be made for the car. This is something we could coordinate and do prior to delivery for an additional cost.

    We dont have much on it prior to the previous owner who owned it from 1995 to 2021. All engine work and maintenance was done by Manhattan motorsports in that time. In 2010 the current owner (who purchased in 2021) became the technician maintaining the vehicle at Manhattan motorsports.

    Rotating the Gauges is super easy and can be put back before delivery.

    Your typical use scenario is how its been used for most of its life, and any small issues have been addressed to prepare it to sell. At this time, i cant think of anything a buyer would need to "get ahead of" or fix prior to enjoyment.

    Seller , my apologies I should have looked at all the pictures before sending questions about specifically the exhaust
    I can clearly see that there are no cats and it’s a custom exhaust for sure
    Unless you had the factory exhaust parts available I’m confident it would not pass California smog as is
    Your thoughts regarding this as well as my other request, would be appreciated as you have time

    PS I almost forgot, the gauges, I still don’t understand why some folks like the gauges rotated off of normal position. If I purchase the car, I would definitely want the gauges reset or rotated to factory settings is that something that you can do?

    I regret selling my 1987, 930 Turbo, three years ago, black, black, and finding your good looking Porsche. this morning here in Northern California, Santa Rosa, 95407
    Some questions
    California smog emissions testing is always a concern when there’s been aftermarket parts on any Porsche. would you think that this Porsche would pass California smog as is?
    Does it still contain Factory cats?
    Also, do you have information about the car is history previous owner location as well as service history?
    Is there anything that the car currently needs and or might need in 7 to 10,000 miles with moderate use, perhaps two times a month for 100 250 miles of use

    @jbauto with 500ish hp on tap it takes a lot of cojones to keep this thing under control. Combine that with our hot Houston weather and a bit of extra cooling necessary.

    @ljpviper motor was built by Manhattan Motorsports, has been maintained by our shop foreman since it was built. He was their shop foreman at the time and since moved to us a couple years ago.

    @tonazona Correct, these parts are direct from the porsche dealer. This conversion was done by the dealer that sold the car. Not a factory 505 car but did roll off the lot as a new car as a slant nose.

    @nosubstitute4porsche Because the car is running the stand alone ECU the boost gauge is no longer getting the factory boost signal from the stock sensor. It is something that can be reconnected but never saw the need to.

    @Chevelle1969 We do not have recent dyno numbers. At once point it was making over 800hp but was put on a low boost tune and now makes 500-550hp which for this chassis is plenty.
