This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo is said to have been custom-built in a collaboration between Gemballa and Auto Garage TBK of Japan. The car is modified with custom bodywork, Work Meister S1 wheels, a full Gemballa-design interior, 993 “Big Red” Brembo brakes, and custom-valved Ennepetal Bilstein HD shocks. It features a 3.4-liter Kremer motor with Group B camshafts and a K27S turbocharger built by Blue Point Racing as well as an oversized oil cooler, a custom exhaust, and a claimed output of up to 400 HP. Benefitting from extensive recent service including a new clutch, rear main seal, and transmission refresh, this one-of-a-kind 930 has been imported to the U.S. and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona.

This 930 was fitted with custom bumpers by Auto Garage TBK along with Gemballa side skirts and rear air intakes, a Gemballa center tail panel, aero mirrors, and a 964 3.8 RS-style rear spoiler with a raised wing. It rides on a set of aftermarket Work Meister S1 wheels dressed in new Falken Azenis RT615 tires. The seller notes the original Black paint remains on the doors and roof while the rest of the exterior was refinished to match during the exterior customization. The car recently underwent professional detailing including a multi-stage paint correction, ceramic coating, and a layer of clear paint protection film applied to the roof. Some rock chips are reported on the fenders and quarter panels as well as a scratch on the driver’s rear quarter and some small cracks in the bumpers. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The Gemballa interior features a custom tan leather lower dashboard, center console, and door panels complemented by black shag carpeting and Recaro cloth bucket seats. Accessories include matching tan instrument dials, an AutoMeter Sport-Comp tachometer, Gemballa-branded door sills, a Sabelt safety harness, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, drilled aluminum floorboards, and a 6-point gold powder-coated bolt-in roll cage. The seller states the radio has been removed and some wiring is exposed. All other accessories are said to be fully functional.

The engine is said to have been rebuilt by Blue Point Racing of Japan to 3.4-liter Kremer specs including Group B camshafts, a K27S turbocharger, a Kremer intercooler, unequal length headers, a custom muffler, an oversized oil cooler, and a custom-made catch can. At 1 bar of boost, the engine is said to produce between 380 and 400 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission that was recently removed and serviced along with the installation of a new clutch and rear main seal. The suspension includes custom-valved Ennepetal Bilstein HD shocks as well as upgraded torsion bars and drop links. Stopping power has also been upgraded with 993 Turbo “Big Red” Brembo front brakes. Recent service includes an oil and brake fluid change, new NGK spark plugs, a new fuel filter, replacement of the brake master cylinder vacuum line, and a new air intake hose. The seller notes a vacuum test was also performed and all leaks were addressed.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “If Germany and Japan had a super baby, this would be it. The car sounds and drives like no other. The blow-off valve gives you chills with every shift. This car is so planted to the road, you’d think you were on rails. Breaks necks everywhere it goes. This is a true Blackbird. Mechanically, this car needs absolutely nothing, and it won’t let you down or leave you stranded. Cosmetically, it has some battle scars from Wangan Midnight activities in Japan. Some would say these marks add to the history and make it more authentic, but if you want a true show car, it just needs some minor body work on the bumpers and side skirts. This car is a true 1 of 1 build.”

@gman71b for street use, it’s tuned for 93 octane and torco octane booster. This set up has been used by myself and 2 previous owners and won’t have any detonation. If you have the boost turned up to .8-1 bar and using it hard or for track use, 100+ octane is recommended

I Was wondering why this was so low in terms of bidding. But after the comments, and finding out there is no VIN, that makes it a deal breaker. Especially if you're in CA which is especially strict on that type of stuff.

@prmnorton1 that’s something I haven’t dealt with and will have to look in to.

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@prmnorton1 rear seal has been checked. No rust, just dust. Not sure why the photos made it look like that. The remainder of the very light surface rust on the gas lid door and in some small areas under the rear end will all be taken care of before the sale.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Hyerislower also another quick question so I know it says kilometers on actual car but it looks like the Carfax has stated 117,000 miles on the report, can you get that corrected to reflect km on actual report? Or can you get it corrected to reflect The correct miles? If it is able to be titled/registered somehow and they report kilometers or the correct miles it will reflect a mileage discrepancy or rollback and create a possible branded title down the rode, so just let me know if you’re able to correct that, Ty again

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Hyerislower are you able to check and see how deep the rust is under the rear windshield underneath the seal? and looks like there’s some towards the gas tank area under the gas cap and underneath the car on bottom left area, let me know please
also being that there is no physical Vin on the car and How would one title the car if there has to be vin inspection which is required just about everywhere?

It hurts to see how a beautiful Gemballa Porsche has been tinkered with and probably used for small races. There must also be a VIN plate in the front of the trunk on the right hand side. If this is no longer available, then it becomes registering the vehicle very difficult

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Just uploaded a pic of the VIN stamp that was on the body in front of the tank. For anyone asking, here you are.

  • GrandNatty (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@pcarmarket - if this car has no VIN on the vehicle, how can it legally be sold on the platform? I just bought a car out of state and registered it in CA and required TWO matching VIN instances on the vehicle via visual inspection to get a CA title and register it. As the door jam VIN sticker had been painted over, the dash and the hood VIN were used. You should pull this auction - can't sell a car w/ no legible VIN on it!

@YS-OFCR the highly reputable dealer I purchased it from sold it to me as a “rust free” car. When it got to AZ, I had it inspected and was told no rust. I’m just a guy who trust’s professionals. It’s unfortunate that there is some light surface rust, but it’s already being remedied. As for the VIN, again, I bought from a highly reputable dealer that most people on this probably know. The never asked for a picture of the VIN on the vehicle. This car has been registered to multiple owners in the US already and no one has had issues.

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@startfinish I’m a hobbyist dealer. I bought this car from RMC because I loved it. I’ve enjoyed it for almost 3 months and put almost $10k into some repairs and enhancements. I’m selling and moving on to the next fun thing I find. Not trying to flip it

  • YS-OFCR 1 year, 3 monthsago

It's your car yet people who have only seen photos are alerting you that there is rust on your own car? There is no VIN visible anywhere yet you have a title with a VIN on it? How can you confirm the title goes with this car? There are only 8 states in the country that do not require a VIN inspection to get a title. Hope the buyer lives in one of them.

  • startfinish (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Didn’t this car just leave RMC Miami? Strange to flip a car like this from an internationally reputable dealer. They’d know the value I imagine it would be hard to get more. It’s a beautiful car, I wish I had those gemballa rockers on my 930.

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@prmnorton1 based on my research online, dry ice cleaning does remove surface rust, just not deeply adhered or pitted oxidation.

There is no physical VIN on the vehicle that I can find. The sticker under the hood is very faded and you can make out some of the VIN, but not all of it.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Hyerislower OK thanks, dry ice cleaning can’t fix rust but I just wanna know where all the rust areas are so I would know what I’d be getting into, ok just so I understand so there’s NO actual physical vin on the car? Like No Pilar vin? No Door jam vin? Ty,

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@prmnorton1 confirmed that there is a couple areas of light surface rust. Already reached out to a shop near mine that does dry ice cleaning and it will be remedied before the vehicle sale.

As for VIN, the only VIN remaining was under the hood and it’s very faded unfortunately.

@cons heat works. No A/C, but some sorcery is happening cause for some reason, it blows quite cool. I have been able to drive it in the AZ summer heat of 110+ with minimal back sweat lol

@prmnorton1 I do see a little on the back of the gas lid door now. I will that repaired. I will confirm on the other areas when I get to my shop. It was inspected in both Florida and Arizona by reputable businesses that claimed no rust.

    @Hyerislower OK thanks
Just to confirm are you sure about the No Rust situation? It clearly looks like in picture 42, 47, 69, 71, and definitely 231 there is some rust there. I just wanna confirm please, not trying to be rude. I just want to know what I would be getting before I bid. Thank you.

  • Hyerislower (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@prmnorton1 there is no rust on the body or frame. Tiny bit of surface rust on the muffler, but I can clean that up before a new owner takes it. Just rock chips on the side skirts. There is no boost gauge and I do not have the original rpm gauge. I do have some service records from the work I’ve done to it during my ownership as well as the previous owner, but nothing before that.
I will make sure to get some VIN pictures added today.

  • prmnorton1 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Hyerislower is there any rust on the car? In picture 33, 81, 86, 87, 52, 262, underneath the seal and under car, ect.. it looks like there is a decent amount of rust? Please confirm,
And the side skirts I assume those are just rock chips and damage? or is it just lighting? Also, is there a boost gauge anywhere on the car? and does it come with the original turbo rpm gauge?
Also, do we have any records on this car? And do you have any pictures of the vins on the car? pillar? front trunk? etc. Ty
