Offered here is a 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose finished in Paint to Sample Ruby Red Metallic. Commissioned through Porsche’s Sonderwunsche Special Wishes Department, this German-market example features the “SE” performance package, handcrafted Flachbau bodywork, and a bespoke interior with Burgundy and White Special Leather upholstery, wood trim, a unique center console, a “Type F” steering wheel, and Sports Seats with contrast piping. Originally imported through Miami, this Turbo was acquired by the current owner about 10 years ago from a specialty car dealer in Chicago and was subsequently driven to New York where it remains today. Upon delivery, the car was treated to over $24k worth of service including a full rebuild of the transmission, new rear shock absorbers, new brakes, and a refresh of the ignition system. The car has been kept tucked away in the owner’s collection since this time, while seeing no more than 200 miles of use. Several items have been recently carried out in preparation for sale including refinishing of the color-matched Fuchs wheels, all new brake pads and rotors, new rocker cover seals, valve adjustments, a full professional paint correction, and more. It was listed on sold on PCARMARKET earlier in 2021, however, the sale was mutually canceled as a result of unreasonable wait time for DMV title processing. Now with its clean New York title in hand, this rare numbers matching 930SE is being offered for auction showing just over 55k miles on the odometer accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This 930 came factory finished in the Paint to Sample color of Ruby Red Metallic and features handcrafted Slant Nose bodywork including a redesigned front valence, flat vented front fenders, pop-up headlights, boxed rocker panels, and distinctive rear quarter air intakes. European side marker lights are equipped, and a unique quad-tip exhaust is also included as part of the “SE” specification. In preparation for sale, a full paint correction has been carried out along with refinishing of the front valence and color-matched Fuchs wheels. The paint is described to show well with only minor flaws and imperfections, additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. The 16” Fuchs wheels on this example measure 7” x 9” in width and come dressed in new Yokohama Advan tires.
The cabin of this 930SE has been tailored with Burgundy and White Special Leather upholstery as well as Burgundy carpeting and Sports Seats with contrast piping. A Special Wishes Type F three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a dashboard clad in burled wood veneers. In the middle of the cabin, you will find a unique 930SE center console as well as a Special Wishes wooden shift knob. Other factory specifications include Equipment for Germany, an electric sliding sunroof, a passenger-side electric/heated mirror, and a windshield with green graduated tint.
Factory-applied labels remain affixed throughout the car including the original tire specifications sticker in the glovebox. The steering wheel has been previously reupholstered, and the interior has been professionally detailed in preparation for sale. Some signs of wear are visible on the seat bolsters as well as slight separation of the leather upholstery on the upper dashboard, and sagging of the headliner on the sunroof panel. An upgraded Alpine radio has been installed along with MB Quart speakers, and the original radio is said to accompany the sale as well.
The original 930/66-S air-cooled 3.3L turbocharged flat-six engine is paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox and a factory-optioned limited-slip differential. Images of the drivetrain case stampings are provided in the gallery and correspond with the numbers listed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The “SE” performance package raises the output of this engine up to 330 HP using a larger intercooler, higher-lift cams, revised exhaust, and increased boost pressure. The original exhaust has been swapped for an aftermarket four-tip unit. Upon the seller’s purchase about 10 years ago, this 930SE was brought to Manhattan Motorsports to undergo over $24k worth of service including a full rebuild of the transmission, a new turbocharger, a new clutch, new ignition components, new heat exchanger pipes, new rear shock absorbers, and new brakes. Within the last several months, this Turbo has also received an updated 964-spec Bosch diverter valve, a new fuel level sending unit, new fuel pump relays, valve adjustments, resealed rocker covers, an oil change, and a refresh of the brakes with new pads, rotors, and fluid.
This sale will include a collection of original Special Wishes brochures, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and correspondence, original owner’s manuals, spare tire, and a clean title. This 930SE is also said to be accompanied by the original radio and air compressor. A beautiful representation of an authentic Special Wishes Slant Nose, this one-of-a-kind 930SE is a true collector's item.

The button for the mirror adjustment on the driver's door is missing in the photos. Is he still there?
The screen in the center console is it still working?
Why does the cover of the passenger seat fold? Have the seat covers ever been changed?

Hello, did the car have an accident at the rear left, or why is the rubber protection sticking out a bit and the left brake light doesn't close flush with the body?
Photo 175 shows several damage to the underbody. Is the sheet metal or the underbody protection damaged here?
In photo 169 you can see an unclear situation at the top left. Is the body damaged here, or did the rust take effect here?
The front spoiler was renewed later, or is that still the one that was delivered with the vehicle?
Can you assure us that the vehicle has no accident damage whatsoever?
Bid in the amount of $15,000
If it's a German market example why is the speedo in miles and not km?
