Finished in a dark blue Paint to Sample color over a matching blue interior, this 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was first registered in Maryland and spent time in Tennessee before it was imported to Germany by its second owner in the early 2000s. The car was sourced by the selling dealer and imported back to the U.S. from Europe in November 2023. Accompanied by a documented service history and a Certificate of Authenticity, this Carrera Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with under 22k miles showing on the odometer.

This 911 came factory-finished in an optional Paint to Sample color as designated by internal production code L999. It features a removable black roof panel, a black Targa bar, H4 headlamps, optional headlight washers, integrated front fog lights, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Targa features Blue partial leather (VK) upholstery with matching carpets and floor mats. Accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 cassette stereo. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are fully functional.

An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller indicates all service is up to date and maintenance records are included with the sale.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “A rare Targa in excellent condition. No issues, no oil leaks, collector owned.”

This targa looks amazing, and I've been driving them for almost 4 decades. My '89 now has 194K mi, and it looks almost this good (-:

    Good Morning PCar market Community….

I will go in order and answer everyone's questions.

    @rwbuck - a 2nd certificate picture was posted Saturday.

@Speedj1 - the vehicle was exported approx. 2009 and I imported in 2023. The vehicle has service records from before export and service records and yearly inspection (TUV) records while in Germany. I will provide all documentation to next owner. I will add driving video in the next day as today its raining.

@dwaltchack - Dunken blau (Dark Blue) color code K5V9 (thanks for positive comment)

@ikieo - paint readings done at dealership and confirmed (thanks for positive comment)

@Ar356b - service and inspection records are included in purchase and pictures. 100% original matching numbers drivetrain. 2nd certificate from Porsche confirming this is being posted today. This is a very rare original mileage targa that will elevate any collection.

@carrera79 - I have included today the copy of the service book label which appears to mirror the front hood sticker. The posted picture of the Porsche certificate confirm the options.

    Bid with confidence.
    Regards,

wondering why the label under front hood doesn't show options ? I thought all extras where printed on it ?

  • Ar356b (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

hi, is there history and service records? Confirmed that the engine is the original engine and matching? 22K is accurate mileage?

    thanks!

If the paint meter is correct then there is a problem with the right rear fender and may have also caused the markings around the "Targa" attached to the roll bar to have occurred also. Overall a very nice car.

  • Speedj1 (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

How long did it spend in overseas? Any import/export info?
Also, are all the service records in German?
A driving video shifting through the gears would very helpful to potential bidders. Great blue on blue color!

Could you post a clearer picture of the Porsche Certificate? It's pictured in the lower right corner of picture 140, but the glare makes it impossible to read the entire certificate. Thanks!!
