This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was factory-finished in the Paint to Sample color of Garnet Red Metallic over a Burgundy partial leather interior. It features an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine, a 5-speed manual transaxle, optional 16” Fuchs Weissach wheels with gold-painted centers, full power seats, an electric sunroof, cruise control, and a central locking system. The car is said to have been cared for by a single family since new and underwent a major service in 2018, including a new clutch, shocks, spark plugs, brakes, and more. Showing approximately 22k miles on the odometer, this one-family-owned 911 Carrera is now being offered for auction out of New York.
This 911 was factory-finished in Garnet Red Metallic, designated as a Paint to Sample option by the L999 color code on the original specifications label. Equipment includes H4 headlamps, a front valence with integrated fog lights, power windows, an electric sunroof, and optional 16” Fuchs Weissach wheels with White Gold Metallic-painted centers. The wheels are dressed in Michelin Pilot Primacy tires with 2004 production date codes. The seller indicates the exterior is in excellent overall condition and retains all original paint. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Burgundy partial leather upholstery (LX) with matching carpets. Accessories include optional power-adjustable seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, power windows, a central locking system, air conditioning, cruise control, analog VDO gauges, and a vintage Alpine cassette stereo. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, and the interior is said to have been very well kept, showing no major signs of wear or discoloration.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine provides up to 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Type 915 manual transaxle. The seller notes a major service was completed in 2018 by Hi-Tech Auto Service Center of Wayne, New Jersey, including a new clutch, shocks, brake pads and rotors, calipers, belts, spark plugs, engine oil, and transmission fluid.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original warranty booklet, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

@nobrakes Platinum/gold-painted, maybe platinum is the correct word, sorry.
What makes these Weissach wheels? The 1980 Weissach edition all had 15" Fuchs with platinum metallic painted centers.
The wheels on this 911 are 100% factory rare painted Fuchs Weissach wheels with factory gold-painted centers.

Great, do you have Hi-Tech Auto Service Center major service documentation?
@skylane9 Help, image #129 is the only sticker under the hood. The stated service records and work mentioned in the description will come with the car.
Bid in the amount of $55,000
Would you take a pic of factory option label, it should be right below your picture (#129) of vin label ,
Also any service records, Carfax shows nothing of service history?
Note: missing a bolt on muffler shroud (pic # 151) might be or start rattling.
Outside looks great.

Let us know would you are able to take a picture of the option label under the frunk?
Any scratches, blemish or paint touch up you could point out?
Would you take some pictures that show in the Maintenance Book what factory service was completed?
Thank you!
There was no PTS in mid 80s
Just like people claim Marble Grey was a “PTS” in 1986, but again, it was a standard colour with a L999 code.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our exceptional 911. This stunning example and is ready for its next enthusiast and caretaker. We are hoping to have undercarriage photos added to the listing by tomorrow. Please feel free to ask any other questions. Happy bidding!
Hi, unless I missed it would you take a picture of the option label under the frunk?
Any scratches, blemish or paint touch up you could point out?
Do you have the factory service book showing what maintenance was completed?
Will you add undercarriage pictures soon? Thank you!
@gmund901 Hi, thank you for your interest! To our knowledge the Garnet Red Metallic was a standard option color for 1987, but a PTS color for the previous year 1986. The hood tag decodes L999 which would indicate a PTS color option.
Hello, beautiful car! Just one request for clarification: the 1986 factory Carrera literature lists Garnet Red Metallic as “Metallic Paint at extra cost”. Can you clarify why you have listed as PTS when it appears to be a regularly available optional color?
Thanks!
