This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet was factory-specified in Pastel Beige over Brown upholstery. Additionally optioned with cruise control and a central locking system, this example is said to have been originally purchased on August 31, 1986, from Bruce Canepa Motor Cars in Redwood City. Having remained a lifetime California vehicle, this Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller with approximately 139k miles on the odometer and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This 911 is said to have been refinished in 2015 in its factory-specified shade of Pastel Beige (D4), a color exclusively offered between the 1985 and 1986 model years. Equipment includes a brown convertible soft top, a raised third brake light, impact bumpers, and Pastel Beige painted Fuchs wheels dressed in Toyo Extreme tires from 2023 in like-new condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Brown partial leather upholstery with an optional cruise control function and central locking system. Accessories include a leather four-spoke steering wheel, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, a quartz clock, a locking glove box, and an aftermarket radio. The seller adds that the original radio will accompany the sale and identifies a small crack on the dashboard. Additionally, the on-dash brake warning cover and extra key for the hood lock have been replaced. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
Power is provided by an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 207 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle. Upon the seller’s acquisition, the rear brake pads, rotors, battery, spark plugs, fuel filter, control arm bushing, sway bar links, and shifter bushings are said to have been replaced in addition to an engine oil and transmission oil change. According to previous records, a performance chip has been installed and a California smog test was passed in August 2023. A host of service documentation is said to accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a trunk-mounted spare tire, and the original radio.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a great original car!”

Seller, a few questions:
Is the rear window pulling away from the soft top, at the top edge? It looks like the original.
Is the front hood / trunk out of alignment on the passenger's side down in front?
Is the rear hood / engine cover out of alignment on the driver's side at the turn signal?
AC is inop?
Cruise inop?
Door locks working?
Is there a tool roll?
Is there an air compressor?
Do any manuals come with the car?
Thank you, N
