The 1986 model year saw the last of the 911s to have been equipped with a 915 5-speed manual gearbox and marked the introduction of the larger interior air vents seen on later air-cooled cars of the 964/993 generations. This final iteration has been customized as a tribute to the many iconic 911 generations. Finished in Guards Red over a black interior, this Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller showing approximately 66k miles on the odometer.
This example has been refinished to its original Guards Red paint. The front end has been updated with a custom front bumper, fenders, and side skirts, Aero mirrors, 964-style taillights and rear bumper, and a Turbo-style rear spoiler. A set of 19” black-finished aftermarket wheels with colored Porsche center crests. The seller notees the automatic convertible soft top has been changed to a manually opening top.
The cabin is appointed with black leather. Ahead of the 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits a 5-guage instrument cluster. An aftermarket radio has been installed along with an carbon fiber shift knob. The seller reports all guages and accessories are working properly.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 207 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox. A CARFAX report is provided showing available service history.
