We are pleased to offer this 1986 AM General Humvee “Peacemaker H1X” custom. Beginning with a standard military-spec Humvee, this 1986 example underwent a recent 2-year custom bare chassis restoration at the hands of its owner including a full powder-coat finish, a completely redone interior, bead-lock wheels with 40” tires, all new electronics, and a 6.6L V8 Duramax turbodiesel engine paired with a 6-gear Alisson transmission. With under 1k miles said to have been driven since the completion of the build, this one-of-a-kind Humvee is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California accompanied by a clean title.
This Humvee was completely disassembled down to the bare chassis before the aluminum bodywork was sandblasted and powder coated in a Jewel Blue wrinkle finish. The truck was then reassembled with all new grade-8 bolts and the seller reports that over $13k was invested in hardware alone. The frame also received a copper-tint powder coat along with the suspension springs, and the rest of the suspension components were finished in a Grey Chrome powder coat. The entire body is armored in CNC-cut aluminum with "H1X" insignias on the front fenders as well as a custom computer-cut design on the hood and doors. This build includes a set of 5 TrailReady bead-lock wheels powder coated in Jewel Blue with Grey Chrome and copper-tint accents. It rides on a set of rugged 40” Maxxis tires that remain in excellent shape.
Inside, the cabin was completely redone with black ALPHA Braum Racing seats, yellow 5-point harnesses, LED lighting, powder-coated accents, and a MOMO racing steering wheel. Other details include a Bluetooth speaker fitted to the roll bar, an iPad mini central entertainment system, GlowShift electronic gauges, and pistol grip door handles. The speedometer and odometer have not yet been set up therefore the true mileage remains unknown. All other electronics are said to be working properly.
The original drivetrain and wiring harness were discarded before the owner installed a 6.6L V8 Duramax diesel LML turbocharged engine which was sourced from a 2016 vehicle said to have had less than 30k miles. It was paired with a 6-gear Alisson transmission that reportedly had less than 10k miles at the time of installation. The engine is capable of generating approximately 400 HP and 765 lb.-ft of torque and the transmission is rated up to 550 HP and 1000 lb.-ft of torque. Other features include a gas tank with dual filler caps and an oversized exhaust system. The frame, suspension, brakes, and steering remain in their original configuration.
This sale will be accompanied by 2 sets of keys and a clean title. The perfect choice for an automotive gathering or off-road adventure, this Humvee is just waiting to be driven and enjoyed by its next owner.

What is the overall width of this vehicle? is it too wide for a regular car transporter?
Hey guys, sorry for the delay.
I think the top speed is somewhere between 110-120. I have driven very comfortably at 75 mph on the highway for many miles and it was easy sailing.
I’ll do a walk around video, show it starting and running. I don’t think I’ll be able to capture driving video but I will try. It isn’t really set up for me to get my photographer involved this late.
@seller Can you post a coldstart and driving video?
@seller What is the top cruising speed?
This thing is awesome, my chest hair grew a little just reading the auction listing.

Hey guys, Matt here. Thanks for taking a look at the beast. Here’s a few answers to the questions so far.
1) no DEF
2) has clean title, reg, and plates, does not require smog. However, it doesn’t have turn signals wired in and a few bits here and there that some inspections would catch. But it is a street legal machine.
3) what you see is what you get, no glass/plastic windows
Let me know however else I can help.
Hi, does it have a set of solid doors with windows or is it just open?
Does the “clean title” mean it is street legal?
Has a DEF system been carried over along with the Allison Diesel?
