Up for auction at no-reserve is this 1985 Porsche 944 finished in Alpine White over a brown interior. This 5-speed 1985 example was recently purchased by the seller from its previous owner who had carried out extensive maintenance over the past three years including a timing belt and water pump replacement, new wheel bearings, air conditioning service, and more. New aftermarket bucket seats were also installed along with an upgraded Bluetooth radio and a new MOMO steering wheel. This 944 is now being offered for auction without reserve by its seller out of Virginia while showing approximately 68k miles on the odometer (TMU).
This 944 is finished in Alpine White. Cosmetic imperfections are depicted in the photo gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report. This example rides on factory 16” ATS Cookie Cutter wheels that were dressed in new Yokohama tires within the last three years. A spare Fuchs wheel is included in the trunk.
Inside, you will find a brown interior that was fitted by the previous owner with aftermarket bucket seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and an upgraded Kenwood Bluetooth radio. The original steering wheel will accompany the sale. Some cracks can be seen on the dashboard and a mileage discrepancy is noted on the CARFAX report.
This 944 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.5L inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle that sends 150 HP to the rear wheels. Under the previous owner's care within the last three years, the following items were addressed and documented in the service records provided in the photo gallery:
This sale will include some service records, the original steering wheel, a spare Fuchs wheel, a repair manual, and a branded title (not actual mileage). Offered without reserve, this 944 offers a perfect opportunity for any aspiring transaxle Porsche owner.

@911newbie with all of the work done to the car I strongly believe the mileage on the odometer is correct.
@911newbie Got it. Thanks
@911newbie At some point the mileage was written down incorrectly when being registered. I.e. someone wrote the mileage less than when it was last registered.
Sorry if I missed it but why is it a branded title?
@biscuitus The headlights go up/ on, and then down/off as intended.
Sunroof - It works and the seals are in good shape. Currently, there are no leaks. I took the sunroof off a few weeks ago and put it back on. Since then, we've had rain and I haven't found any wet spots inside of the car.
Do they headlights flip up and go down as intended? Also does the sunroof operate normally and does it leak? I also have a Defender 110, but need an extra car for my kid!

Hi all,
Hope everyone enjoys this auction and the car. It's a ton of fun, especially here in Southwest Virginia on the Blue Ridge Parkway and on the backroads. I recently drove it 200 miles on I-81 at 75-80mph without issue. Its a great car and an amazing way to get in to a Porsche / a RWD sports car that is sorted, and affordable.
Coming from a truck (Land Rover Defender) I realized I like trucks and I like slow. Please ask any questions you might have!
