Is the car physically located in Florida as it has California plates?

@Reflexr just as an FYI, the car now has a Complete Sachs Porsche Clutch Kit.

@Reflexr Hi! So the “clanking” noise has been fixed. The issue was rubber center in the clutch disk that started to go. The car now has a new clutch disk and all that goes with it. Also, I purchased the car with the Dash cap already on it, I don’t know the condition of the dash under it nor do I want to remove the dash cap to check and risk damaging the cap.

Hi, good looking car, but what is a “slightly clanking clutch plate” I’ve never heard of that on the manuals. Is it a rubber damped clutch? The interior wear seems to support 100k+ on the mileage. I understand it has a dash cap, is the dash cracked under it? Thanks for your time.

@David944s2 Hi David, this car was owned by the original owner for most of it’s life, and has been driven not ‘baby‘d and the interior is original to the car so that driver seat has never been replaced/reupholstered so yea 30+ years of driving does show. And most of the partial leather material used by Porsche at this time didn’t really wear well. (This is based on information I’ve read on many forums, many 911’s of this period used the same seats and had very similar wear , the partial leather would get a bit stiff and always show some stretch marks)

As far the odometer I purchased the car with the odometer working (still is working/rolling) miles shown is what the car currently has +\- 7more miles since the car is basically my daily. But I do know odometers on 944’s of this era are notorious for failing if the trip odometer is reset while car is driving. Again, I purchased the car as miles exempt. When I purchased the car my priority was that it in sound mechanical conditions and a driver that could run as my daily cruiser. I hope this information helped. But if you have any questions please feel free to ask away! Again, I’m an enthusiast of these 944’s I grew up in one, my dad had the same car but in white so I’ve always enjoyed the quirks and history of these cars.

@Speedster44 I'm challenged with the odometer reading an appealing 20k miles and the overall degree of wear, notably, the driver's seat showing a high degree of wear in the photos. Especially comparing the condition of the passenger seat to the driver's seat, it is seemingly inconsistent with a car that has such few miles. The CarFax isn't helpful as the only milage noted is at 10K back in 2007?
