This RoW-spec 1985 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe was reportedly purchased by Brumos racing driver J.C. France over 20 years ago and converted into a purpose-built race car. With work performed by Kennedy Motorsports in Daytona Beach, Florida, the car features an upgraded Garret turbocharger, Haltech Elite ECU, a custom intercooler, Elephant Racing coilovers, 993 brakes, 934.5-style bodywork, and a racing cockpit with a fully welded roll cage. This 911 Turbo was raced by J.C. France until 2012 when it was purchased by another enthusiast who raced the car until the seller’s acquisition in 2018. Recently sold on PCARMARKET, this 930 race car is being offered for auction once again as the initial buyer failed to complete the transaction.
Finished in Black with an Interscope-themed vinyl racing livery, this 930 has been modified with a 934.5-style front spoiler, decklid, and rear wing along with a lightweight fiberglass hood and door panels. Other equipment includes front and rear tow hooks, hood pins, an external cutoff switch, a center-mounted exhaust pipe, Lexan windows, body-colored headlamp covers, red brake calipers, and aftermarket three-piece wheels dressed in Pirelli DH racing slicks. The seller notes that the tires show approximately 75% tread depth and the car’s exterior shows some minor chips and scratches from track use. Additionally, two layers of windshield protection film have been applied, and the windshield is said to remain in good condition beneath the film. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The stripped-out racing cockpit features an orange-painted full roll cage, a carbon fiber dashboard cover, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, and a MOMO bucket seat. Other accessories include aluminum Rennline track mats and pedals, a Fabcar shifter, OMP safety harnesses, a fire suppression system, and a digital Haltech gauge. The seller adds that the cabin is prewired for radios and shift lights and that the fire bottle needs to be recertified before racing.
The 3.3-liter flat-six engine has been upgraded with a larger Garrett turbocharger, a custom full-width intercooler, a Turbosmart wastegate, headers, an enlarged front-mounted oil cooler, and a Haltech Elite ECU. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a factory 4-speed manual transmission. The car also features a FuelSafe fuel cell, 993-generation brakes, slotted front rotors, stainless-steel braided brake lines, 935-style rear trailing arms, and adjustable Elephant Racing coilovers. The seller notes a new fuel bladder has been recently installed and the engine and transmission were rebuilt within the last 10 hours of use. The suspension is also recommended for service.
This race car is offered with a bill of sale.
The seller would like you to know: “Just raced this spring HSR Sebring. I have two other Porsche race cars, a 997.2 GT3 Cup and a Cayman Interseries, just not enough time for all three. The Turbo is a great car, needs a new good home. This is a RACE CAR. It is not perfect. It looks great in the pictures, and in person, gets lots of attention on the track and in the paddock, but it is a RACE CAR, not a show car, it is not perfect.”

Driving early turbos on the track is no joke. This would be a extremely challenging but very rewarding car to be able to drive well at its limit.

@Fortun3 I have a clear open title still in the name of the previous owner, but signed by him ready to be transfered. I did not transfer it to my name as I did not want to pay the associated taxes and fees for a race car that would never be registered. The previous owner is a good friend, just had lunch with him last week, so there will be no issues if the new owner wants the title in their name.
Any issues with getting a title?

One set of spare wheels. Some miscellaneous parts. But no major spare parts like body or drivetrain stuff.
Spares? Wheels ect.?
There was no log book from Jamie France when I got the car, and the previous owner did not race it. I have done maybe 4-5 track days and then the one HSR race. I am looking for the latest gearbox and engine receipts....I have a folder full of doc.'s all the way back to original build in '02, but I am missing some of the recent stuff. I am going to reach out to the shop and see if they have copies.

Do you have a log book you can share?
Also can you send or post the receipts for the engine and transmission rebuild you mentioned were done approximately 10 hours ago.
Thank you
I didn't see the engine and trans rebuild invoices, can you post them?
@Paret - Leaded 110-112 octane - thanks for your interest
Hi,
What Octane and type of fuel do you run?
Bid in the amount of $20,934
@Michaelscheid25 - Good question. The bilstein shocks are due for a service/rebuild. They are operating just fine, but I feel it's time. Nothing more than that.

What is entailed in "The suspension is also recommended for service."
Thanks, in advance, for the info
@1990_4X4_964 Thanks for your interest and questions.....No to all LOL, sorry no headlights, nor turn signals and I never ran this in the rain - not worth the risk. It had working headlights prior to my ownership so it is wired for them and has a switch on the dash.
@CharlieFerer Thanks for your interest.....It did sell, the buyer had some issues, I'll let Pcar comment or provide further details, not sure I should in this forum.
I had to go out of country and missed the final day of bidding. I thought this sold...did the last buyer unwind?
Does the car have working turn indicators? And do the headlights work under the covers? Does it still have windshield wiper motors? Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $5,000
