This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was factory-finished in the special order color of Prussian Blue Metallic over a Dark Blue partial leather interior with Porsche script cloth seat centers. Kept by its original owner in Pennsylvania until 2007, this 911 was later imported to Canada and has been under the seller’s care since 2014. During that time, approximately 76k miles were added, including several cross-country trips. The vehicle’s highlights include a refreshed suspension with upgraded torsion bars and Bilstein shocks, a Steve Wong chip, an M&K Euro pre-muffler, a restored Targa top, European headlights, and a collection of documentation and original parts that will accompany the sale. Showcasing a rare and attractive factory specification, this enthusiast-owned 911 Carrera Targa is now being offered for auction out of Ontario.

This 911 is finished in Prussian Blue Metallic (33X), which is designated as a special order paint option by the “L999” color code on the factory specifications label. Equipment includes a black wraparound Targa bar, a removable roof panel, a heated domed glass rear window, black headlight rings, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. The Continental front and Firestone rear tires show 2018 and 2020 production date codes, respectively. The rear bumperettes have been removed, European-style headlights have been installed, and the original sugar scoop headlights are included in the sale. The owner indicates no evidence of accidents or paintwork, showing honest driver-grade wear to the exterior. Minor flaws include a small, arrested rust spot on the driver’s sill, a small dent on the right rear quarter, fading on the Targa bar, and curb rash on the lower right valance. The professionally restored Targa top fits well, although light wind noise at high speed and occasional minor seepage in heavy rain are reported. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features Dark Blue partial leather upholstery with matching carpets and rare Porsche script cloth seat centers. Accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, electrically adjustable seats, power windows, cruise control, Porsche-branded floor mats, a Blaupunkt Richmond cassette radio, and aftermarket speakers. The air conditioning system, center console, and blue leather shift boot have been removed and are included in the sale. The owner notes some wear on the steering wheel and lower driver’s seat bolster, fading and discoloration on the front seat inserts, and heel wear on the original carpets. The CARFAX report shows a mileage inconsistency, and the odometer is said to have been repaired with a new gear exactly 86 kilometers after it failed under the seller’s ownership.

Rated at 207 HP and 192 lb-ft of torque from the factory, the air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine has been modified with a 91-octane Steve Wong performance chip and an M&K Euro pre-muffler, and the original catalytic converter and O2 sensor are included in the sale. The suspension has been refreshed and upgraded with 21mm/27mm torsion bars and Bilstein shocks. Service records are available from the current ownership, along with some documentation dating back to the original owner's bill of sale. A recent PPI noted light gasket weeping on the left bank, though there are no oil drips, and the issue is not considered urgent. First-gear synchros show gentle wear, occasionally requiring a brief roll-forward or a 2-to-1 engagement when stopped, but shifting underway is smooth. The seller indicates that the car has been maintained to a very high standard with no recommended repairs in the near term.

This sale will include a collection of original parts, owner’s manuals, service records, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, and a Canadian registration.

The seller would like you to know: “This car has been enjoyed and maintained lovingly. Tracked 3 times.  I recommend you do the same. I have not owned this car - I have had a relationship with it. I call it Blueberry, and we have done real-time together.  I have taken care of it, and it has taken care of me. Porsches are only original once.  This is a perfect platform to restore without having to undo another's bad work or if you are like me, you will love that this car has lived a well-taken care of life and continue its story as a beautiful original piece of hand-built joy."

    Hi Folks
Seller here Happy to answer any and all questions. As a note - when I had the odometer gear go out and repaired it the shop said the odo had never been opened. While I can not verify this the mileage discrepancies line up with mileage being mistakenly reported to Canadian registration alternately in miles or kms. I believe the mileage to be correct within 86kms (the mapped distance from gear failing to arriving at shop)
