We are pleased to present this 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa presented in the classic combination of black over a black partial leather interior. Highlighting a recent top-end engine rebuild along with a few tasteful modifications, this example is not to be overlooked and is sure to please any air-cooled enthusiast. It is now being offered by its seller out of Vermont showing approximately 99k miles on the odometer.
Finished in black, this example is said to be in great overall condition with some typical age appropriate wear including slight fading on the Targa bar (detailed images are outlined in the photo gallery). Keeping its intended factory look, this Carrera Targa highlights exterior details such as integrated fog lights, iconic wrap-around rear glass window and a set of factory black Fuchs wheels which come wrapped in Continental tires.
Inside, you will find a black leather interior that is also said to be in great condition. The front two seats are said to have been professionally recovered in 2010 and the Targa top refinished in 2014. Interior details include automatic speed control, power seats and power windows which are all in working order.
This 911 retains its numbers matching 3.2L flat-six engine that produces 207 HP from the factory. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. A top-end rebuild is said to have been performed at 94k miles and a recent service was carried out that included the following items:
- Installation of the Fabspeed sport performance exhaust
- Performance chip
- Cat bypass
- Rennline sport shifter
- New idle control switch
- New front wheel bearings
- Full oil service
- New battery
- Wheel alignment
This car is said to be in great running condition.
The sale of this well-sorted Targa includes three keys, original books, original maintenance booklet, tons of service records, tools, the original exhaust, original shifter, and a brand new car cover.

What is in the driver door jam of image 41, it looks like it's sanded down to bare metal with some bondo or filler? Also, do you have any images of the suspension pan/tank support underneath the battery? Thanks.
