We are pleased to present this 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe. Originally sold from Weisenburger Porsche of El Paso, Texas, this 1985 example was special ordered in White Gold Metallic over a brown leather-trimmed interior and features 16” Fuchs wheels with optional color-matched centers. It had reportedly been kept by the original owner up until 2003 when it was sold to the current owner who has driven approximately 6k miles while carrying out routine service every year. It has spent its entire life in the warm and dry climate of Southwest El Paso and was listed and sold on PCARMARKET earlier in 2022. As the initial sale was canceled for reasons unrelated to the car or seller, this 911 is now being offered for auction out of Texas once again showing approximately 87k miles on the odometer.
This Carrera comes finished in White Gold Metallic, designated as a special-order color by its L999 paint code. 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels were also equipped from the factory, sporting optional color-matched centers. The seller notes some minor scratches and chips throughout the exterior, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The wheels come dressed in a set of older Runway Enduro-556 tires.
Inside, you will find a brown interior featuring optional leather trim, matching carpets, and an original Blaupunkt Monterey radio. Other factory options include an electric sunroof, power seats, power locks, cruise control, and an elevated steering wheel hub. The cabin is described to have been kept highly original and the seller reports light wear on the leather surfaces as well as cracks in the dashboard. The tachometer is currently nonfunctional, although a replacement part to fix the gauge is said to accompany the sale.
This Carrera is equipped with an air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox delivering up to 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Standard equipment includes four-wheel independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, power-assisted brakes, and stabilizer bars front and rear. The car has been driven approximately 6k miles since 2003 and the seller reports routine maintenance and oil changes have been completed annually during that time.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, toolkit, some service records, and a clean title. Nicely appointed from the factory and enjoyed very sparingly over the past two decades, this Carrera Coupe is ready to begin its journey with a new caretaker.

When you win this 911, you’ll open up the front hood and see the stock Porsche gray material liner, two sheepskin covers for the front seats and a bra for the front end if you decide to put it on for long trips. Good luck
Is the front trunk mat set included with this sale? Didn’t see a photo of them in the gallery. Thank you

My 911 has been stored in an enclosed climate controlled garage for the last 14 years covered. I believe the 1st owner shows valve adjustment receipts (photos included) and I have had the clearances checked once in the last 14 years (approximately 4,000 miles). When the transaxle is cold, I always go through the shift pattern before engaging 1st gear. Once the box warms up, it’s much better. I just changed the transaxle gear oil with no metal on the magnetic drain plug nor the old gear oil. I’m glad you are interested in the Carrera and if you win this Porsche you will not be disappointed. If my wife would let me park it in the living room, I would. I think it’s like driving a piece of art.
Has the 911 always been stored indoors during your ownership? Have the valves been adjusted during your ownership? Are there any engagement/syncro "sounds" during any of the gearshifts? Northwest EP is the place to be there... ;-)
I have never done a leak down test nor compression test on my 911. I don’t think the previous owner did either. While I have owed this 911, it has never smoked either cold start, hot start, on throttle nor throttle off. It has never used any oil between oil and filter changes. I’m glad you are looking at my Carrera and if you are lucky enough to become the 3rd owner, you won’t be disappointed.

Do you have any recent leakdown or compression tests for the engine, and is there any smoke from the tailpipe if you lift off the throttle suddenly while accelerating?
Thanks

Thank you Lenny for your interest. The sunroof works perfectly and unlike most air-cooled Porsches, this one does not leave oil spots from either the engine nor the gearbox. The photo of the dash is the way I receive the car 14 years ago. The car was a daily driver by a doctor in El Paso and apparently because of the sunlight hitting his dash every day it cracked. However, as soon as I bought the car I had a dash cover installed which is reflected by the most recent photographs also attached to the photo album. The power seats work, the electric windows work well and the air conditioner works as well as the day I received the car. The doctor, the previous owner, advised me when he left the hospital in the hottest part of the summer, the car did not cool down until he got close to his house (approximately 10 miles. The car is still the same. The older air cool Porsches are not known for their efficiency and efficacy cooling the car. Also, there are minor imperfections on the hood and also spots from a dirty camera lense that appears in several of the photos. I’ll take additional photos for you with my phone. I’m glad you like my car and if you have the winning bid, you will love driving this unmolested, unmodified time capsule.
Good morning
In picture 32 ( the engine hood ) the picture shows what appears to be some wavy dents . I was curious if this is shadows or is it in fact wavy dents ?
Does the power sunroof , power windows , powers seats and AC work ?
Does it drip oil on the concrete ?
Has the dash been recovered / fixed from the cracks ? The pictures show cracks then no cracks ..
Thank you
Great. Thanks for your patience. This is the first car I’ve listed. if you have any other questions, please let me know

Hello Everyone. I am here to answer any questions about my 911. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I have been the 2nd owner and caretaker of this Porsche 911 Carrera for the last 14 years. When I purchased this rolling art, I realized I may not be able to ever find another one so I have babied this 911, putting only approximately 4,400 miles on this Porsche in the last decade and a half. It has only been driven during times of good weather in daylight hours free of rain, snow, dust, etc. As you might have read above, it was sold to it's first owner in the Southwestern City of El Paso, Texas and has never left. Therefore the Carrera has no rust. The engine is original as it's transaxle. The engine has never been out, the car has it's original paint and the tires are like new. It has it's original operative radio, cassette player, speakers and an aftermarket 12 disk cd changer that was professionally installed is located in the glove compartment. The glove compartment shell is included if the new owner wishes to return the Porsche to 100% original condition. The car has only had Castrol 20/50 -non-synthetic oil, changed twice a year and the transaxle gear oil has been changed every two years with "0" deposits on the magnetic drain plug. The brake fluid has been flushed every two years as well. Friends of mine crack up when they see the State Farm GPS monitor and I advised them that the monitor on the back of the rear view mirror saves a ton of cash and no one honks at the gorgeous 911 when it's driven at or below the posted speed limit. Some prefer to runs expensive sportscars hard whereas I really enjoy just the driving experience. The past Pcarmarket auction ended in January however because of a "glitch" between the high bidder, Pcarmarket and myself , I'm being allowed to re-list the Carrera. Good luck bidding on this all-original time capsule.
