Up for auction at no reserve is this 1985 Ford Thunderbird FILA Edition. Finished in Pastel Charcoal with Dark Charcoal cladding, this FILA edition Thunderbird is one of 2,532 examples produced. The FILA edition features an assortment of unique styling cues inlcuding blue and red pinstriping and specialized badging throughout the vehicle. The FILA edition also came with an exclusive FILA jacket which is included with the sale of this car. The seller acquired this vehicle last year from its original owner who is said to have kept the car garaged since new. It is being now being offered out of Oregon with just under 33K-miles showing on the odometer.
Outside, the vehicle's unique finish is said to remain in great original condition (detailed images are available in the photo gallery. The car is said to be in its stock form. This Thunderbird rides on 16” color matched alloy wheels which come wrapped in Radial tires that are said to be in good condition.
With many special edition models, the interior of this Thunderbird is a stand out amoung other examples. The FILA edition features a handsomely equipped retro black and white leather interior. A few factory options include embossed Fila logos on the seats along with other options such automatic climate control, 6 way power seats, tilting leather wrapped steering wheel, automatic dimming headlights and cruise control. All electronics are said to be in working order.
Power comes from a 3.8 liter V6 engine that produces 120 HP and 205 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. This example is said to have been kept up to date on maintenance.

One aspect of the collectibility of the limited edition Fila Thunderbird is the cross collectibility factor. A car like this attracts collectors of hyper low mileage classic cars, collectors of Fords, collectors of fashion, tennis collectors, 80s car collectors, sports collectors, and the super fanatical base of Thunderbird collectors. Ford throughout the years co branded with Versace, Eddie Bower, Givenchy, Emilio Pucci, Bill Blass, Cartier and other brands but not until the Fila Thunderbird did Ford apply this strategy the Thunderbird. PCARMarket forgot to mention I am including the ultra rare Fila edition wrist bands, head bands and towel that came with the car.
A few comments about the Fila Edition Thunderbird. It is even rarer than the SVO mustang and produced for 1 less year making the Fila T-Bird one rare bird, one of the rarest Fox body cars produced and a rare Ford altogether making it one of the most collectible cars out there. Even rarer to find one in 100% original condition with extremely low original miles and the Fila jacket. a similar condition Fila Thunderbird just sold in January at auction for $10,900 making it one of the best values in the rare car market with unlimited upside potential.
@richks43 thank you for your question. Yes there is some fading on the black area’s especially the bumper area.

Thank you for the bids thus far. This Fila limited edition is more popular than my 328 Ferrari at cars and coffee and much rarer too. I love the digital dash on this car and the smooth ride.
