Up for auction is this 1984 Porsche 911 Slant Nose conversion. The car started its life as a factory Carrera Cabriolet before being transformed into the stunning example you see here. Featuring a complete steel Turbo wide-body slant nose conversion, this 911 is extremely unique and well built. The car resides in New York with 67k miles on the odometer and is stated to be in excellent cosmetic and driving condition.

As part of the conversion work, the rear quarter panels were flared and the full nose was upgraded to the slant nose look. It seems that the work was completed early on in its life.  The seller states that all the work shows as done to a high standard and all panels line up properly.

The Guards Red exterior has a commanding presence and shows to be in excellent condition.  The paintwork is consistent and the car as a whole gives off a very nice impression. The convertible top is also stated to be in excellent condition with no signs of wear. Currently installed are a set of 20” BBS  wheels that wear Pirelli PZero tires with excellent tread life as reported by the seller.

The black leather interior is stated to be in above average condition, showing well for its age. Door panels, seats, and dash are free of any major blemishes, however, there is the normal wear that you would expect on an original interior from 1984. An upgraded MOMO steering wheel has been installed along with an upgraded shift knob. All electronics are in working order including the pioneer head unit. The photo gallery provides an in-depth look at the true condition of this 911.

This particular car is equipped with an air-cooled 3.0L flat-six that is connected to a 915 5-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that there are records showing maintenance and engine work that has been done in the vehicles past. The seller also notes that a Catback Fab Speed exhaust has been installed.

In the 1970s, Porsche tuners such as Ruf and Kremer began modifying customer cars with a “slant nose” front end resembling factory racing 935 race cars.  In 1981, Porsche announced its own special-order slant nose for the 930. The car being offered is very typical of an era when owners would have their vehicles upgraded to this slant nose look.

The sale will include a clean Carfax, all books, records of engine service, original mirror covers, an original convertible boot cover, and keys.

@Toys1955 I agree with both of you in a sense. I see Pcar put up a photo of an area where paint was chipped off (good job guys). But it is a steel slant nose and the rest of the car looks pretty nice. So i agree, I’m not sure this car gets to $55 but should clearly hit upper 40’s maybe touch 50.
