Up for auction is this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe. Known as the 'G-model', this generation 911 was built from 1973 to 1989, a longer period than any other to-date. The G-model is also known for its visceral and raw driving experience that is not found on many other vehicles. This example has been a California car its entire life, never having seen any harsh weather conditions. It is currently being offered out of Santa Monica in great turn-key condition.
Finished in classic Guards Red, the paint is stated to be in excellent driver-grade condition with only minor surface scratches and a few typical road chips. The exterior features an upgraded whale tale spoiler, factory fog lights, and black painted Fuchs wheels that wear a set of tires. Overall this 911 presents itself very well with an eye catching look.
The black leather interior is stated to be in well above average condition for its age and mileage. Both the dashboard and windshield have recently been replaced, keeping this rolling time capsule fresh and up-to-date. The seller states that the radio and odometer do need to be fixed. Only an estimated 1,200 miles have been driven since the odometer stopped. A few noteworthy factory options include: power windows, upgraded air-conditioning system, sunroof, and cruise control.
This Carrera retains its original 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six that produces 207HP and 192 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a smooth 5-speed 915 transmission. According to the seller, he purchased the car from his mechanic who performed a surplus of service items prior to selling the vehicle including a full valve adjustment and fluid/filter changes. Additionally, the following items were replaced:
The sale will include a clean Carfax, back up rubber seals, jack, spare tire, all books, manuals, and one key. This is your chance to own a true piece of Porsche history.

@jimmy_is_here I just heard back from the previous owner and before selling it to me he did do a compression test but unfortunately doesn't have the numbers. He said it came back with no issues at all which I tend to believe based on not having a single hiccup all year, but I know that is not the exact detail you would like.

@Raminee5 Yes it passes SMOG and yes it is registered in my name
Hi does it pass CA smog test? Is the car registered currently in your name?
@jimmy_is_here I don't have any compression or leak down test results, unfortunately, but I just texted the last owner (my old mechanic) to see if he did one last year before selling it because I am not going to have time to get one done before the auction ends. I'll let you know if I get a response asap.
Otherwise, everything else is stock and there is a not a drop of anything under the car each time I pull it out for a drive.
