This 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe comes finished in Ruby Red Metallic over Burgundy full leather upholstery and features optional front and rear spoilers, Sport Seats, a sunroof, and Fuchs forged alloy wheels. Previously owned by a Porsche specialist, this Carrera has been professionally lowered and aligned to European specifications along with the fitment of Euro headlamps and a front chassis brace. Showing approximately 122k miles on the odometer and benefitting from recent service, this 911 is now being offered by its seller out of Alabama.

This Carrera came factory finished in Ruby Red Metallic with optional front and rear spoilers. The car is said to have been completely refinished in its original color in 2015 and features a set of European-style H4 headlamps as well as lightweight lugs for the factory 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. Provided invoices show installation of four new Michelin Exalto PE2 tires as well as a new windshield and seal earlier in 2022. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, you will find a Burgundy full leather interior with factory optional Sport Seats, automatic heating control, cruise control, and an electric sliding sunroof. Invoices show the pedal assembly refurbished earlier in 2022 along with repair to the interior dome lights, installation of new leather seat covers, and refresh of the A/C system with a new receiver drier and freon. An aftermarket Pioneer head unit was installed as well.

An air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine delivers up to 207 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. A front chassis brace has been installed and that suspension is said to have been professionally lowered and aligned. An invoice shows an inspection and oil service completed in May of 2022 along with new spark plugs and transmission fluid in July.

This sale will include a clean title, the original spare tire, jack, and some maintenance records.

    This car has been under our care for several months now. I have driven it over 1000 miles while sorting it. Most of the miles have been in the Alabama summer heat testing the AC to the max. It cools very well for an air-cooled Pcar.
    The body is in excellent shape w one repaint over an undamaged car.
    Everything works well and it has been a delight to drive given the lowered stance, fresh Michelins and tune. It delivers excellent power through the rev range up to the redline.

    @Martini91 ?

    @dwkrivan The full leather reference is correct to the Carrera's options, yet as with most leather-wrapped dashes of the era, it warped, thus a factory dash for a 86 Carrera was installed to provide the larger vents and better AC vs. the small 84/85 vents; it was decided by the prior owner not to recover the dash with leather, yet it can be done if desired.

    does not appear to be a full leather car. No leather on dash cover.

    Why a $20k bump why over inflate the market

    @Ryanaerickson The 3.2L Carrera engine is strong; it's mileage, operation & performance have not indicated a need for compression & leak down test pre-auction, thus we did not add the cost & time to schedule with our aircooled shop. The photos are current.

    Do you have recent compression and leakdown tests? How old are the majority of the pictures?

  • ehd911 (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

    @gkp200 Photos of the seats after recovering and the new tires have been uploaded to Pcar Admin just; they should be available soon. It's clear that this 3.2L Coupe has been well maintained thought it's life, yet the records were lost by the prior owner. The current owner is a very savvy Porsche collector and has had his aircooled specialist inspect and perform all needed work/sorting to make this 3.2L Coupe an excellent driver -- the invoices are posted in the media gallery.
