Known as the 'G-model', this generation of Porsche's 911 was built from 1973 to 1989, a longer period than any other to date. The 911 Carrera was introduced in 1984 and equipped with a larger 3.2-liter engine as well as new bodywork, brakes, electronics, and suspension technology. This inaugural-year example comes finished in Black over a matching leather interior and is now being offered for auction accompanied by maintenance records from 1984 to 2002 and from 2014 to the present.
This Coupe has been refinished in its factory-specified shade of Black and rides on a set of 16” Porsche Boxster wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires from 2015. Services in 2015 are said to include repairs to the front bumper, headlights, hood, fender, cowl and windshield, roof and rear glass, both doors, quarter panels, rear bumper, and taillights. The seller notes some minor signs of road-going wear, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The driver is situated within a black leather interior upgraded with a leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel, a Sony XR-7200 head unit, Nakamichi SP-65C speakers, and Carrera 2-branded floor mats. The seller states the cabin was reupholstered as part of a restoration in 2015 and reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly apart from the odometer.
The 1984 Carrera equips a 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six producing as much as 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual transmission. The seller states service history in 2014 included replacements to the rear brakes and calipers, repairs to the intake manifold, insulation and gaskets, left axel CV boots, and an A/C system recharge. Additionally, the engine control unit is said to have been replaced in 2017, followed by repairs to the hoof lift support struts in 2019, and an oil change and alternator replacement in 2021. The seller adds that a fresh oil change will be completed in preparation for the next owner.
This sale will include a clean title, some service documentation, and owner’s manuals.

@YAFA - Unfortunately at this time I cannot upload another video of it driving, if I can get one before the auction is over I will.
@seller how about a driving video past 1st gear? O2 sensor present? Cold start? Many unanswered questions here. The bodywork is troublesome especially with panel adjustments and replacement glass. Mileage discrepancy feels opaque. Odd wheel replacement as well. Seems like an inexpensive replacement… Please clarify.
@Gefiltefunk excellent question. No answer?
Thank you for the response
@dwagner275 - It has no water damage and has never been in a flood or underwater, in this case it is from normal aging.
This 911 coupe is screaming for Fuchs and Sport seats.
Looking at most of the interior, sagging, rusted screws etc. Could this car been in a flood, underwater etc.? I have seen this condition before personally.

@bavarianauto1 The cat bypass appears to have the O2 sensor deleted? Or is it just not visible in the photos? If it's deleted has the car been chipped to accommodate for this?

Definitely need a driving video faster than 1st gear. You can simply hold the phone and take us up thru the gears up to 50 or 60. A walk around with it running would also be great. Cool all black 3.2.
Would you please upload a driving video going through all the gears? The one you have uploaded does not show how the cars performs while driving (I need at least 30secs of it) thanks

@bavarianauto1 I believe that we are stressing the term cosmetic. I had a clear conversation about the repair with the shop. It was body work, repair and replacement. The receipt you uploaded are what brought on the conversation. Just being transparent.... I think the work done is excellent from the photos.
@PCAR076 - I can assure you this vehicle has never been in a head on collision. I spoke with the previous owner and the body shop. Both said there was never an accident with this vehicle.
@AZCollector - There were adjustments made to valves, the heads have been torqued, there was motor work done, and clutch work; however, it wasn't done recently and there are no service records in my possession. I do not have compression or leak downs available.
@nobrakes - Sorry for the late reply. A/c does work. I am uploading pictures now. The vehicle does have manual books, spare tire, and tire kit. To clarify the pictures of the floor underneath carpets do show markings, it is stains from the carpets and just normal wear from age of vehicle.
General observation… Carfax is not the end all, it only as good as the data that is submitted.
As to this listing the seller has disclosed the work performed through the 2015 service record which is commendable. Now let’s answer some of the questions to help sell the car.
Questions are piling up here... While seller is taking more pics it would be helpful to include some detailed images of the frunk with the carpet removed.
Hello,
It is mentioned that in 2006 there was cosmetic work done by Garber Autobody. Attached there is a work order from 2015 from Garber. It seems that there was a head on collision that was repaired after speaking with the shop today that was not reported to carfax. The work was substantial. Just trying to understand the history on the car. Can you please clarify?

Have the valves ever been adjusted? Know the last time/date?
Heads torqued? (These motors suffer from pulled head studs and will still run)
Any motor work? (aka top end rebuild?)
Clutch done?
Compression or Leak Down available?
Bid in the amount of $10,911
A few requests please...
AC working as it should?
Pic of data tag on frunk lid?
Clearer pics of the top of dash please?
Pic of pedal box area with carpet pulled back?
Pics of the service records mentioned?
Manuals, jack, complete tool kit, air pump?
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.

@Mr_jamo - Yes the mileage I got was incorrect, thank you for showing me. I will send in the few documents that I can.
@bavarianauto1 - great, thank you for clarifying. Do you have any of the receipts/documents from previous repairs and service you can load?
You mentioned that it was driven approx 7-10 miles per month starting in 2006. That’s 120 miles per year. That’d be only about 2,040 miles in 17 years. I am a bit confused by that, since you state 27,800.
I apologize if I made an error, but a 25,000 mile difference is rather large. Just trying to fully understand. Thank you!
@Mr_jamo - I will be re-dying the door panels and any other discoloration in the interior. As for the odometer yes it is being fixed prior to sale. The cause of discoloration is from age and hot weather conditions. A PPI hasn't been done specifically but I own a repair facility and there is no issues with the vehicle. If there was I would fix it. I calculated this mileage based off pervious knowledge of how often car was driven it could be less.
@bavarianauto1 - to clarify, you are going to re-dye the whole interior prior to sale as well as fix odometer?
What has caused the discoloration through the interior? The interior seems pretty tired.
Has a PPI been done on this vehicle? Could you load the receipts/maintenance documents for the car?
How was the estimated additional mileage of 27,800 calculated?
Thank you!

@JayBo there was a professional paint job done to vehicle in 2006 by Gerber. The misc. repairs were not because of vehicle accident. It was done for maintenance purposes because of the vehicles age. There is slight discolor in interior however it can be re-dyed, I am going to get that done promptly.
@dn1 The odometer has gears that melted because of the weather conditions in Florida. I am in the process of fixing it. I don't know exact mileage of vehicle but I do know there was very little mileage put on it between 7-10 miles were put on it a month since 2006.
@femurwallace the vehicle was rebuilt in 2004 by a company in Jacksonville Florida named Steve Performance. It was rebuilt for simple maintenance reasons due to age of vehicle.
@cerex we no longer have the original car parts, there are no mechanical or electrical issues and the odometer has been inoperative since 2006 however it was not driven very much by previous owner and about 27,800 miles or less was put on vehicle. I know from previous owner that the vehicle was driven about once a month only about 7 miles each time.
@war4max there is no rust issues, the discolor on the seat and panels can be dyed again and there is no moisture issues.
Seller - Interested in more information on the extensive body work. Is this a superficial rust issue? Also, the rear seats and rear side panels look to be discolored? Any prior issues with moisture in the interior?
Hi Seller appreciate if you can please provide additional details regarding the mechanical state of the car.
Can you list the know mechanical flaws with the car?
Are the any electrical issues flaws?
Are any of the original car parts available? Rims? Steering Wheel?
How long has the odometer been inoperative?
Thank you

I see the car has the same miles as it did in august 2015 when the carafe says.
Is it broken or not connected? So you have no idea of the true milage on the car?
On the video the mileage doesn't go up as you drive it. Is there a reason?
Car looks good. Has it been
Resprayed ? Also are the misc 2015 repairs due to anything being wrecked/ damaged ? ( Hood, Bumpers, Qtr Panels, Windows Etc.) Lastly, is the interior discolored? or is it shadows from the trees. The Door panels, Back Seats look kind of splotchy.
She's a beauty. Wonder if her engine has ever been rebuilt.
