This European-market 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was initially delivered at Voets Autozentrum in Braunschweig, Germany, finished in Slate Blue Metallic over Dark Blue upholstery. It features factory Sport Seats, a rear window wiper, a sunroof, front and rear spoilers, and more. One of its reported two owners is said to have been Tony Corlett, a Marque specialist & author, who owned the car for at least 25 years and imported the vehicle to the United Kingdom in 1998. It was listed for auction on PCARMARKET in 2023 and has since undergone a top-end engine rebuild including refurbished cylinder heads, new piston rings, gaskets, zinc plating, powder coating, and a new clutch. This Carrera 3.2 is now being offered for auction once again with less than 153k kilometers (95k miles) on the odometer.

This example comes finished in Slate Blue Metallic (L661). Factory features include optional front and rear spoilers, integrated front fog lights, dual exterior mirrors, black-finished rear fender guards, rear bumperettes, and 16” Fuchs wheels dressed in Michelin tires. The seller states the paint remains original with no evidence of damage repairs or rust restoration, although some road wear is noted on the front bumper, bonnet, front valance, and mirrors. Additional images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features Dark Blue upholstery and includes optional leather Sports Seats, an electric sunroof, front speakers, an electric antenna, automatic speed control, and a rear window wiper. The seller notes slight signs of wear and all gauges, electronics, and accessories are said to be working properly. A list of factory options is provided below:

  • M261 - Exterior rearview mirror
  • M395 - Aluminium rims Fuchs
  • M409 - Sport seats
  • M425 - Rear window wiper
  • M441 - Prepared for radio
  • M468 - Green tinted glass
  • M473 - Front and rear spoilers
  • M650 - Sunroof

Power is derived from a European-spec 3.2-liter flat-six engine rated at 231 HP, an increase of 24 HP compared to its U.S.-market counterpart. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 915 5-speed manual transmission. The brakes were overhauled in 2023 and a top[-end engine rebuild was recently performed which included refurbished cylinder heads with new valves, head studs, piston rings, gaskets, and a new clutch as well as fresh zinc plating, powder coating, and ceramic coating. An original service booklet with stampings is also said to accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, a toolkit, and some documentation including a service booklet.

The seller would like you to know:  "A super original example, famous author owned 25+ years. Engine restored with new upgraded (993) head studs and new piston rings. Cylinder heads were restored with new guides, new valves, and vapor honed finish. The original engine ancillaries were carefully restored with original factory finishes observed. New crank sensors were installed for future reliability. A new clutch has also been fitted."

    Does anyone know on top of the cost of import that the seller has commented on ($3500 from UK to NYC)...what would be the US costs to get this on the road?
    $ - DMV tax
    $ - CA smog

    I know the seller and he knows what is worth noting about Porsche for street cars and race cars and is a very successful race driver and Gentleman and the car is a wonderfully honest car with a patina and a fabulous history of owner-car guys, and love Porsche, And from the seller shop nothing lev that is not perfect for the purpose, just lock how he rebuild the engine to 100% as they left the factory. I am a Porsche guy from 1980 and as I wrote known the seller for many years the work they do is just perfect! Just order a PPI from his shop and you will see what can of car you will receive.

    The interesting thing with this car is the history and that can not be bought as we all know and then their very nice color combination. Carrera 3,2 is probably the best car for the road Porsche built, I was self the owner of the 1984 fast fun to drive and enough power, and the G model manufactured from 1974-1989, The Carrera was 3.2 from 84-89 was the only one that was allowed to carry the Carrera brand, as some other very value cars today Carrera 2,7 ROW and Carrera 3,0 ROW. I prefer the early Carrera 3,2 with 915 gearbox light and more nimble cars! The G -50 is a nice gerbox no question but a bit too much in a Carrera 3,2 and very heavy.

    @Dupe65 Hi, Thanks for your interest in my listing. I can certainly assist with shipping. I can transport the vehicle to the UK exit Port, and normally use Schumacher Freight for transit to the US. They can offer a service that will allow collection from the entry port, or delivery to end user - whichever works out best for the buyer
    As an example, the transit from UK to the New York area would be around $3500 Port-Port
    I hope this helps, if you need anything further, just ask
    Thanks Phil

    Do you know what is entailed with shipping the car to the US?
