Produced for one year only, the 1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet represents the first Porsche 911 with a fully open-top convertible design. This example comes finished in white over black upholstery and features 16” Fuchs alloy wheels, a black convertible soft top, a Blaupunkt Monterey stereo, power windows, and more. Previously cared for by an owner of approximately 30 years, this Canadian-market example was acquired by the seller in 2021 and imported to New York. This 911SC is now being offered for auction with approximately 147k kilometers or 92k miles showing on the odometer
This 911SC comes finished in white with a black cabriolet soft top. Exterior features include front fog lights, front and rear impact bumpers, body-colored headlight rings, a chrome fender-mount antenna, and 16” Fuchs wheels wrapped in Toyo Versado Noir tires. The seller notes some paint imperfections and rock chips. Additionally, the car is said to have been recently detailed followed by the application of a light ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents black leather upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and Carrera-scripted carpeting. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, climate controls, power windows, and a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 head unit. All gauges and accessories are reported to be in working order.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine generating up to 180 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual 915 transmission. The seller adds that the car was previously maintained by the experts at Milos European Car Specialist in Vancouver, who rebuilt the engine at 121k kilometers. A host of maintenance records will accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title.

It's look like some compound residue from previous polish.
I will make sure it is all clean before car leaves to the new owner

141751 km on the car , that's only 8000 KM since rebuild,
Inv # 6646 states that top end was rebuild. New valve guide, valves installed.
Machine work done to the heads and block . New crank bearings installed, with hardware.
Looks like they didn't try to save money.
I noticed that it has updated timing chain cover with oil pressure feed to the timing chain tensioner.
This is a special car! Love the SC Cabs and this looks like it's been well cared for.
@LJB790 I will try to look in to paperwork. I know that engine work was done 20+ years ago when car had somewhere in 100 000 km on it.
Milo's handwriting is very difficult to read. I will try to get you more info soon.
Thanks for your reply. I may have missed it but did not see any receipts for a top end or engine rebuilt. I have a 79 SC which was still running strong with 123,000 miles until a mechanic broke a head stud with a torque wrench. These 3.0 engines usually did not need a rebuilt under 100,000 miles. I would be helpfull to know at what mileage or Kilometers the mentioned engine rebuilt was done.
@LJB790 Hello.
Car is ready for the road. I believe that speedometer would need to be replaced to MPH spec that all.
Why did the engine need a rebuilt or was it just a top end redo? What is involved in converting the speedometer to miles, any transmission work required for this?

Hello @war4max
I'm working on undercarriage pictures, cold start and driving videos.
Will update the under dash pictures very soon.
Car was kept indoors all it's life. Last few years spend in Hamptons area.
Picture showing light moldy areas were cleaned up properly.
Also few weeks ago car received few cosmetic treatments.
It was detailed , door gaskets and sill covers replaced. Convertible top refreshed , seats and partial carpets
removed and deep cleaned. Paint was polished with ceramic based compound and glaze.
A/C received proper service and now is blowing nice and cold.
Heat works great as well.
Car smells like a proper classic porsche.
I have this cars twin. Build date on mine is 1/83. GPW Cabriolet with black leather. Similar miles.
Only differences I see at a glance are mine is US market vs Canadian and mine has a blank where yours has a rear window defogger switch - yellow knob left of fog lights and cigarette lighter knobs. Just curious why you have rear window defog on a cab? Maybe its a Canadian model thing. Anyway beautiful cab I have really enjoyed looking at the pics this morning. Good luck!
Very nice looking car. Can you confirm the last service date and the nature of the service. It is hard to read the service records but saw up to 2014. Also, any known issues with the engine. A cold start and driving video would be helpful to evaluate the car.
Finally, picture 76 of the under dash shows what looks like mold on the materials. Can you confirm or describe what the discoloration is on the black pieces are. How was the car stored in NY and Vancouver. Thanks.
