Produced for the 1983 model year only, the Porsche 911SC Cabriolet became the very first 911 to feature a fully open-top convertible design. This particular example resides in Washington and comes finished in Guards Red with polished Fuchs wheels, Carrera-style spoilers, a lowered suspension, and a black interior with Sport Seats. Recently treated to major service including a new alternator, distributor, seals, clutch, drivetrain mounts, oil tubes, and a new stainless-steel muffler, this final year 911SC is being offered for auction by its third owner showing approximately 137k miles on the odometer.
This Cabriolet sports Guards Red paint and a black retractable soft top along with Carrera-style front and rear spoilers, front fog lights, and polished 15” Fuchs wheels with Pirelli tires. The condition of the finish is said to represent the car’s age, exhibiting some road-going wear and imperfections as well as small oxidation spots on the right front fender and bumper. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior includes a pair of deeply bolstered sports seats as well as an aftermarket MOMO steering wheel, a wooden shift knob, and black carpet mats with embroidered Porsche crests. The sound system has been upgraded with a new Pioneer head unit, amplifier, and four Focal speakers. Signs of wear are present in the cabin including torn seams at the bottoms of each seat.
The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six engine produces up to 180 HP and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Upgraded Turbo valve covers and oil-fed Carrera chain tensioners have been installed, and recent service carried out by the owner includes installation of a new battery, alternator, starter, distributor, spark plugs, fuel filter, timing chain seals, a new ring gear, clutch, engine and gearbox mounts, and oil tubes. A new heat shield and stainless-steel muffler have also been installed, while the original muffler is included in the sale. Some invoices are provided for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include a toolkit, air pump, service records, some original parts, and a clean title.

@CurtGT3RS it came that way from my understanding - the vehicle has never been in an accident
Original paint
@83911SCCab It’s never been in an accident
That’s how it was sold new from my understanding
@cockee never been in an accident
@CurtGT3RS My SC also has Carrera badging, thinking it may have been an option, I often wondered the same . . .
Why the Carrera badge on the back vs SC badging?
Was the back hit?
Any paint work done and how about accidents?
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@Davidpoer it had some upper engine work done at Chris German in Bellevue Wa
All paperwork included
Work done before I owned it.
