Marking the final year of Porsche’s 911SC Super Carrera, this 1983 Coupe comes finished in Paint to Sample Anthracite Metallic over a special-ordered light grey interior. It was sold new from Barrier & Beck Porsche Audi equipped with optional front and rear spoilers, Sport Shock Absorbers, a limited-slip differential, and forged alloy wheels. The car spent most of its life in North Carolina and was eventually sold to a collector in Texas from whom the seller acquired the car in 2020. Well serviced and accompanied by an extensive collection of records, this beautifully appointed 911SC is now being offered for auction out of New York showing approximately 56k miles on the odometer.
This 911SC was custom ordered Paint to Sample Anthracite Metallic (624-9-3), a rarely seen option reportedly derived from BMW’s color palette. Optional front and rear Turbo-style spoilers were also selected from the factory along with rectangular front fog lights. The car rides on a set of Fuchs-style Euromeister wheels with Continental ExtremeContact tires, and the set of original 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels is said to accompany the sale as well. The finish is described to be in very good overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The light grey Leather to Sample interior includes an optional elevated steering wheel hub, automatic heating control, and cruise control as well as an original Blaupunkt Monterey radio. Other features include a dual-scale speedometer, alarm system, electric sliding sunroof, and heated/tinted windshield. The footwells have been lined with custom Coco mats and the dashboard is protected under a removable carpet cover. Records show the A/C system was evacuated and recharged in 2018 at 55k miles.
Producing up to 204 HP, the air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual gearbox and optional limited-slip differential. A binder of maintenance documentation dates back over 30 years and includes invoices for a new clutch and engine-out service in 2014 at 51k miles as well as new oil return tubes and valve cover gaskets in 2017 at just under 55k miles.
This sale will include a clean title and binder of records.
