Marking the final year of the 911SC or "Super Carrera", this 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe is a rare non-sunroof example finished in Black over a matching leather interior. It comes factory-equipped with an air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine, a 5-speed manual transaxle, optional sport shock absorbers, front and rear spoilers, front fog lights, air conditioning, power windows, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The car is said to have remained under the care of its original owner in New Hampshire before being sold to a Porsche collector in December 2022 and eventually purchased by the seller in late 2024. Accompanied by service records, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, this 911SC is now being offered for auction out of New Hampshire with approximately 16k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Black (A1), this 911SC features an optional front chin spoiler, front fog lights, a Turbo-style “Tea Tray” rear spoiler, a sunroof delete, black rear stone guard decals, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. New period-style Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires were installed in 2023. The seller notes that the original paint remains in excellent overall condition, apart from a few touched-up paint chips as shown in the photo gallery. The underbody is also said to be very well-preserved, with factory paint markings still visible on the hardware.
The black leather interior includes an optional black headliner, front bucket seats, folding rear seatbacks, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. The cabin is described to be in very good condition with only minor wear present on the driver’s seat bolster. The seller indicates the original R12 air conditioning system is not blowing cold at this time, as one of the service valves is stuck.
The air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 180 HP and 175 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 5-speed manual transaxle. The car has been upgraded with an oil-fed Carrera chain tensioner kit and was factory-equipped with optional sports shock absorbers. The seller notes the brake fluid was flushed in 2023 along with replacements of the distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, air filter, and fuel filter. Service in 2024 included new valve cover gaskets, valve adjustments, an oil change, and a rebuild shifter mechanism.
This sale will include the owner’s manual, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery trickle charger, service records, a Porsche Production Specifications Certificate, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This 16k original mile 911SC is an exceptionally well-preserved example that is as close as you can get to buying a brand new 1983 Porsche 911 without going back in time. Having been under one very conscientious ownership for nearly 40 years, this rare sunroof delete car still shows little to no wear. Now fully serviced, it's ready for the next owner to drive and enjoy.”

@550bryan We believe this car was specifically ordered as a sunroof delete with rear tea tray and upgraded suspension at a time when nearly every 911 shipped to North America had a sunroof. Great build specs.
This SC is s exceptional that it may only play a minor role in the final price, but the lack of a sunroof is a big plus in today's market. Back in the day everyone wanted a sunroof and today it's just the opposite.
30 minutes to go. Best of luck to the bidders.

Can’t afford this one… But agree with the sentiments about the seller they are class
I can attest to this car being immaculate. I’ve seen it in person multiple times. Anyone who purchases this vehicle will be very happy with it!
@UKCHAP It was great meeting you last week and we really appreciate you sharing your impressions of this lovely Porsche 911SC. We're also confident that the next owner will appreciate just how special this car is.
Bid with confidence because this is a very clean example. Last Friday I visited this team of professionals and sat in, looked at every panel from every angle and started this beauty. The leather is still supple, the dials are crystal clear and even the new tires are period correct. Whoever wins this auction will have one of the best air cooled 911’s in the USA.
I thought it was worth noting that the original owner had a timing chain tensioner up-grade kit installed. Most likely in the 80's. A very common minor mod done to most 911SC cars to improve lubrication to the tensioner.

Bidding will go higher in time. Hard to pass on a car like this for some folks out there. Low miles and very nice. GL
I believe the bid activity will pick up in the last two days. I’ve seen it happen on several other very nice choices. Some like to observe the activity, draw out informative comments and gauge interest before making a commitment. I predict this one will be very interesting…!

Here is the back story on this car. It was purchased in 1983 by a gentleman local to our area who drove it a fair amount in the first few years and as his car collection grew the annual miles on the 911SC declined. In fall of 2022 he sold his entire collection to a broker and one of our clients purchased the car through that broker. As we are an independent Porsche shop, we performed the PPI and subsequent service to prepare the car for regular use again. That second owner had the car for a year and then sold it to us before relocating to a different region of the country. Since being placed back into service in the spring of 2023 the car has attended several Porsche events in the New England area and covered just shy of 400 miles. The old saying is: "They are only original once" really holds true for this car. There are a lot of restored 911's out there but this is one of the nicest preserved examples that truly is 100% original in every way. With the exception of a couple small rock chips the car looks and drives like a brand new 1983 911SC. Again, we welcome in person inspections to verify just how nice this preservation class car really is.
@HelpMeHelpU appreciate that. I'm new to the site. Thanks!

@srulovjs The only thing you might be missing is an alignment of expectations. This is not that other car-bidding website and there's usually not the same level of traffic, comments, bids, and engagement. Perhaps one day.
Absolutely a fine machine here! Just wow! $$$$$$
Feel free to message me separately, but I’m confused. This car looks incredible. Why such little bidding activity? I don’t understand. In full transparency, what am I missing?
Thank you for the response. I currently own a 1986 Iris Blue 69k Carrera and totally agree with your comments.
Bid in the amount of $2,500
@pvrose I agree with your thoughts on the SC. These cars were engineered with a lighter feel in the steering and clutch which gave them a more nimble driving experience compared to the later Carreras which have an excessively stiff clutch and much higher resistance in the steering. In my opinion the 911SC is just more pleasurable to drive than the later 3.2 Carrera. Documents include original NH title issued in September of 1983, first oil change in Nov of 1983, another in 1985 and all recent service work performed in 2023 and 2024 after the car was removed from decades long storage.
Beautiful SC. I’ve owned two and feel they are a Porsche sweet spot. Great combo of looks, performance, and reliability. I especially enjoy the SC driving experience.
Question… did the owner keep records to support the mileage and are you in possession of those documents?
Thanks. GLWTA.
We welcome inspections to come see this stunning original 911SC in person and are happy to meet any interested individuals at the Manchester NH airport.
