We are pleased to present this 1983 Porsche 911 SC Coupe finished in the classic combination of black over black leather interior.  With a complete engine overhaul performed in 2014 along with a few tasteful performance upgrades, this example is ready to be enjoyed and driven by its next owner.  It is now being offered for auction out of Louisiana showing 103k miles on the odometer.

The black exterior is said to be in great overall condition for the age of the car (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  The front bumper and hood have been repainted, as well as the passenger door due to cosmetic reasons.  This example also features a quintessential Porsche tea tray rear spoiler that is reflective of the era.  Otherwise, this 1983 911 SC coupe remains stock on the outside. It sits on original factory Fuchs wheels that are finished in black and come wrapped in Yokohama tires.

On the inside, the black leather interior is also reported to be in great condition for the car’s age.  Details include an upgraded MOMO steering wheel and an aftermarket Sony head unit.  The air conditioning and radio are reported to be non-functioning at this time, although the clock is stated to be working properly.

Power comes from an air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine that is capable of sending 180 HP to the rear wheels via a 915 5-Speed manual transmission.  In 2014 a complete engine overhaul was performed which included a split-case rebuild with new head studs as well as cleaned and powder-coated components.  Only 11k miles have been driven on the newly built engine and the seller claims it is in excellent running order. A couple of desirable performance upgrades have also been implemented including a Dansk exhaust system and SSI heat exchangers.  A recent oil change was performed and there are complete records of the rebuild available.

Included in this sale are two keys, service records from previous ownership , books and tools. Bid now for your chance to own a true driver-ready air-cooled 911.

    Looks like a nice well-cared for SC.

    Love the Sport Seats.

    The 930 tail is too much for a narrow bodied car. The front valence doesn't appear correct.

    Nice coupe, though.............and the $65 comment wasn't real,......duh!

    Thank you for your interest in my 1983 911, the last year for the SC Super Carrera it’s been a joy to own and operate since taking delivery in 2013. My vision was to keep it forever however here we are, I have too many cars and not enough space. This is my 2nd 911 and expect there will be another one sometime in my future.
    As I mentioned, I planned to keep it forever as I committed to getting the engine overhauled in 2014 ensuring that she is ready to roll for a very long time. No expense was spared and only replaced items that needed to be – the SSI Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers and Dansk Sport Exhaust really offer an incredible sound and the free flow performance provided increased HP. This combination in this era air-cooled 911's is the bench mark (Build Sheet and other maintenance records available with the sale)
    Feel free to ask any questions – Thank you…

    @tx63conv -
    Engine - Expertly rebuilt by Fischer Motors/Lake Barrington, IL specialist in air-cooled Porsche 10/2014 ($13,321.60)
    A/C - Experts say that to get the system to original factory condition one would not be satisfied - the next level would cost twice as much $ so I opted out of that expense. For example my mechanic said $3K should get it to factory performance. Since I only drive it on perfect weather days it has not been an issue for me.
    Radio - Never gave it a thought, I like to just hear the sweet exhaust notes - The SSI's and the Dansk Sport Exhaust play the only music I like to hear in this car.

    By no means an expert but if someone offers me $65k on this car, dont I take it? What am i missing? Seller-was the engine out performed by you or a garage, any thoughts on the A/C and radio as to why they are not working? Do you have the original head unit?
