A special-ordered European Delivery car, this 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe is presented in Quartz Grey Metallic over a beige leather interior with rare pattern cloth seat centers and features a desirable sunroof delete option, a rear window wiper, a thicker three-spoke steering wheel, and a limited-slip differential. It was purchased by the seller from its original owner in 2021 and was sold to their client who has maintained the car over the past 3 years including a major service with new fuel pumps, filters, and tires. Recently reacquired by the seller, this 911SC is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 130k miles showing on the odometer and supporting documentation dating back to the original purchase.
This 911SC Coupe was factory specified with a sunroof delete option and finished in Quartz Grey Metallic (662). Equipment includes European-specification rear bumperettes and side marker lights, an optional rear window wiper, a fender-mounted antenna, black rear stone guard decals, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. The seller notes the tires were recently replaced and the car was completely refinished in its original color several years ago for cosmetic reasons. Corresponding documentation and photographs of the glass-out repaint are said to be available. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 911SC features beige partial leather upholstery with matching carpets and patterned cloth seat centers. Accessories include an optional thickened three-spoke steering wheel, power windows and mirrors, a heater, a quartz clock, an aftermarket stereo, and aftermarket speakers in the door panels. The cabin is described to be in very good condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.
An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 205 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Service records are available dating back to the original owner’s purchase including a clutch replacement in 2018 and a recent major service with new fuel pumps, filters, an oil change, valve adjustments, and a compression test.
This sale will include service records, import documents, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Offered here is a very rare special ordered 911SC. The car has lived a very charmed life and has been treated with great care and maintenance. Runs and drives beautifully and is an absolute showstopper in its colors and configuration. Documents back to day 1 and 1 owner from 1983 until 2021.”

@salehakc313 I will see if I have more images of documents. They're extensive!
I would drive this car to NYC from Cali with zero hesitations !
@skier1 Monterey ca
@salehakc313 engine and transmission are tight and driver very nice. The cars had extensive service including new tires and a major service just completed.

Hoping to hear where this car is located within the next hour, as well as salehakc313 questions re: engine and tranny condition.
Also, was the engine ever rebuilt or worked on? How about tranny? I see fuel pump and fuel filter as the only major update since 2018. Does it have AC/Heat? Do you recommend driving this car from MA to NY or even CA to NY?
Please update any more receipts you might have... seem like you have a binder full of it.
Is this car in CA or MA?
Plates are MA...

@jetpaul thanks for pointing that out.
@Jetpaul hello good morning
On both door jambs there is some very minor corrosion by the little rubber sills that has been there forever. I've owned this car twice and it's not changed at all.
And the front trunk is not rusty. Maybe some areas where the carpet has warn the paint ect.
This car was a Colorado car from new.
@UpNorthMN hi good morning. The records do not show anything with a top end rebuild however it's had Carrera chain tensioners and extensive service.
Also you'll see the compression is basically perfect. The engine is very tight. And as we know 3.0 liter cars are near bullet proof when driven and maintained. As this car is.
Pics 47 & 53 both seem to indicate rust in the lower corners of the rear door jambs on both sides of the car.
Pic 61 shows what appears to be actual rust perforation of the front right inner fender.
Am I crazy, or does anybody else notice this?
Bid in the amount of $17,000
Love the no sunroof look. Seller can you tell us if the records indicate an engine or top-end rebuild that included an update of the head studs?
Bid in the amount of $16,500
nice 911, Will the car come with a Ca Smog Certificate.
@Matthew_VA I like the way you think!!!!
@550bryan, that's correct the US Spec (64Dxxx engine) was rated at 180 bhp & 244 NM whereas the Euro spec (63Dxxxx engine like this one) was rated at 204 bhp & 267 NM.
And absolutely, remove the air pump and the cat and throw on some SSIs! Thing will sing!
Love the color combination, the cloth seats and the sunroof delete, a huge plus. Interesting that this 83 has an air pump which I think had been deleted from US spec SC's by 83. An air pump drains a few HP but never the less I think a US spec 83 SC was about 185HP, not the 205 listed for this motor. Maybe an expert on this could enlighten us. Given that this SC still has the air pump and a catalyst I suspect its stock and would pass Calif smog. If this beauty ends up somewhere other than Calif I would remove the air pump and the catalyst, it would really wake this engine up and add several HP. GLWTS.
@Another911 odometer was change when imported new. And documentation is present.
And yes. Thank you. They changed it to 205hp.
I actually noticed that almost exactly when you messaged.
Thank you

Is it normal for a Euro car to have a speedometer in miles? The ‘83 Euro SC’s were rated 205 hp. A significant amount above the North American version.
@Speedj1 absolutely original
Is that fabric insert OEM?
@79Alfetta there is a catalytic converter. However it is a euro car.
@sjuhawks19 hello
Ok so I just saw that mileage thing. What I think happened is when I sold it to my friend / client in 2020 it had 127k miles. My guess is that the person who did the inspection or reg in Massachusetts saw the 7 and 1. Which they look similar on a 911.
The hole on the left of the plate is a tow hook hole.
The cars in Monterey CA
Does the car have a cat converter installed? I see the smog tests from Colorado but I live in California. If equipped, there should be a sticker in the door jamb. Thank you
Hi, can you comment on the mileage discrepancy in the car fax between 2015 - 2020? A/C? What is the hole in the rear bumper to the left of the license plate? Lastly is the car in Massachusetts or California? Thanks!
I have added images of the actual compression gauge results showing what is basically perfect compression on the 3.0 sc engine
More images to come :)
