This final-year Porsche 911SC Coupe comes finished in Guards Red over a Grey Beige interior and has been customized with Turbo-style spoilers along with several interior accessories. Supported by maintenance history including a previous engine overhaul and recent suspension and brake work, this 911SC is now being offered for auction by its fourth owner out of Texas showing approximately 156k miles on the odometer.

This Coupe is finished in Guards Red and features yellow-tinted front fog lights as well as 930 Turbo-style front and rear spoilers. The factory original 16” Fuchs wheels were paired with 21mm H&R spacers and a new set of Michelin Pilot All-Season tires in 2020. The seller notes some chips have been touched up on the front bumper and hood, detailed images are provided in the galley along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Grey Beige partial leather interior has been customized with a three-spoke MOMO Competition steering wheel, Coco floor mats, and an Alpine stereo. An imperfection is noted on the seat piping and the cabin is described to be in good condition otherwise with all gauges and accessories working properly.

An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine sends up to 180 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The original service booklet shows maintenance stamps through November of 1992. Subsequent services included new transmission synchronizers in 1999, an engine overhaul in 2002 with upgraded Racewear head studs, a rebuild of the A/C system in 2012, and replacement of the starter, belts, spark plugs, alternator, and valve cover gaskets in 2015. The suspension was also refreshed in 2020 with a new control arm bushing kit, tie rods, and ball joints along with rebuilt front brake calipers, new brake hoses, and front rotors. The seller notes a new battery was installed in 2022.

This sale will include a clean title.

  • Rlogan (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@SkiJunkie Thank you for question. No leaks whatsoever. Pics 86 and 87 are of the inspection report by Mayo Performance here in Dallas, performed by one of the best Porsche techs… no leaks.

@Rlogan Can you text me to discuss a couple questions i have about car? I'm in Metroplex so perhaps could see it. How is that possible with respect to communication rules?

  • Rlogan (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@cgolseth the AC works , but keep in mind not to the standards of any modern vehicle, even when new IMHO. I’ve gone through several Texas summers with no problem.

  • cgolseth (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

How well (or poorly) does the AC cool in our HOT Texas summertime???

  • Rlogan (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@Rlogan meant has a Test Pipe

  • Rlogan (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@Bruce914 Hi Bruce, no catalytic converter, as a straight Test Pipe. I’ve spent time today speaking with my Porsche tech understanding this and it’s fairly straightforward in terms of converting (no pun intended!) to a catalytic converter with a CA compliant set up.

@mziggy16 also re accident I have no records of any accident or paint work apart from the touch up I recently had performed in a one stage paint correction (thoroughly detailed, clay bar and small chips touched up)

  • Rlogan (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

@mziggy16 thanks for comments and bid Re the hood gap I believe has do with the hood latch which I’ve been told needs to be adjusted. I’ll take another pic of save an upload soonest. I will also post a cold start tomorrow morning as well as a driving video.

    Car looks great!
Can you please post a cold start and driving video?
In pic #13 the gaps on the hood look off a little bit, which may just be the camera angle. Can you please confirm if the gaps are consistent?
Since Carfax can only cover so much, can you confirm if the car has any accident and/or paintwork history?
    Thank you!
    -Mike

Hi Tom, Thank you for comment and question. I have uploaded photos of those receipts on that work cycle. I don’t see anything specific around tensioners, but looking through other receipts. In the meanwhile please let me know of any other questions.

  • tomivorrichards (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

Nice looking SC. The engine overhaul with upgraded head studs is a big plus. Do you have any documentation of this overhaul/rebuild? Did the timing chain tensioners get upgraded to hydraulic carrera style tensioners during the overhaul or in subsequent years since? Some photos of the underside of the car would be also be great. Thanks!
