Available for auction at no reserve is the chassis of a 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe. Finished in the classic Porsche color of Bali Blue, this final-year SC was built from the ground up as a custom restoration before sustaining collision damage to the passenger rear quarter. It was modified with a slicktop roof panel, center-fill hood, pop-out quarter windows, and a fender-mounted oil cooler on the driver’s side. Professionally disassembled and accompanied by a clean title, this chassis was recently listed and sold on PCARMARKET and is now being offered for auction once again as the original transaction could not be completed.
The car had been restored and finished in Bali Blue (6412), a historic Porsche color seen on the final 356 models as well as the earliest 911s. A slicktop sunroof-delete roof panel was fitted along with a center-fill hood. The rear quarter windows were also converted to pop-outs. The collision damage occurred to the rear passenger-side quarter and some of the rear crash panel was cut away to remove the drivetrain.
The cabin has been stripped almost entirely, save for the custom leather-wrapped window pillars and GTS Classic bucket seat trimmed in red and black leather with a basketweave insert. The fuel tank remains fitted along with the oil crossover lines and custom fender-mounted oil cooler on the driver’s side.
Offered with a clean title, this beautifully prepared 911SC chassis offers the perfect basis for a full custom build. The chassis is offered as-is and will need to be trailered or transported off the seller's property at the buyer's expense (dolly not included).

@2mAn Hello again. There are definite scuffs all over and a few areas where the paint has been damaged (leading edge of hood, etc.). The chassis was seam welded for rigidity and the through-body front sway bar area was reinforced as well. When the rooof panel was replaced there was also additional reinforcement welded in by default.
Keep the questions coming.
@soyracer is the paint scuffed up in a lot of spots or is that reflection from the lighting? Not speaking of the rear pass side haha, mostly up front around the hood, in the frunk, etc
also, I see the rear shock tower reinforcement kit, are there any other chassis reinforcements done?
@Harry500 Hello. I am a private individual and even though I’m a professional in the field I do not have access to a Celette bench, which is what this chassis will require. Contact me through the “contact seller” tab and we can discuss further in detail.
Hello Soyracer,
Can you kindly confirm whether you are a shop or private individual? as obviously it would make sense (for me at least) if the body repair work was carried out so the car's body was returned back to finished status before the car was shipped. Obviously if drivetrain, etc was also available we can have a discussion about that as well. Many thanks.
@2mAn The oil tank is crushed and shattered. The trailing arms were unbolted and utilized on another build without any signs of compromise along with the shocks (utilized torsion bars still).
Was the oil tank damaged? It appears the rear shock tower is unscathed, is the lower trailing arm mount free of damage also?
Might get a second chance at it now... assuming it doesnt go to $10k again!
@TheAsianSensation Hello. I can’t include it as it’s not mine to offer. Contact me directly and I’m sure we can sort something out if you’re the winning bidder.
Can the wooden wheeled dolly be included for ease of moving around and transporting?
Bid in the amount of $1,750
@Bcs82000 Hello. Most everything that has been removed has already been recycled into other builds. Message me privately and we can discuss in detail. Thank you very much for the inquiry.
Would the drive train, interior, and suspension be available for sale?
Bid in the amount of $911
