The Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler was a unique variant of the CJ series, offering an extended wheelbase, a removable half-cab design, a rear cargo box, and a part-time four-wheel-drive system. This 1983 example sports fresh red paint over a black reupholstered interior and features upgraded side steps, front and rear bull bars, sprayed bed liner, aftermarket wheels with new tires, and more. Powered by a rebuilt 258ci engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this Scrambler is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This CJ-8 has been refinished in red with a black hardtop, a black sprayed bed liner, and a matching roll bar. Notable details include a chrome front grille, gray “SCRAMBLER” decals with side stripes, upgraded bull bars and side steps, a winch, and black-painted aftermarket 18” wheels wrapped in like-new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. Front-end paint protection film has been applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin has been reupholstered in black vinyl, complemented by a body-color lower dashboard and interior surrounds. Features include a three-spoke steering wheel, a passenger-side grab handle, door-mounted grab handles, a locking glovebox, and black carpeting.
Power has been upgraded with a rebuilt 258ci inline-six engine driving the rear or all four wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and dual-range transfer case featuring manual front-locking hubs. The seller states the vehicle has been serviced at Columbia Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Richmond, British Columbia. The keys for the lock cylinders require replacement.
This Scrambler is offered with a Canadian registration.
The seller would like you to know: “Bid with confidence. In-person, showing is welcome by appointment.”
