An automotive and cultural icon, the DeLorean or “DMC-12” features brushed stainless-steel bodywork designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro featuring unique gullwing doors and derives power from a mid-mounted Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) 2.85L V6 engine. It was assembled in Northern Ireland from January 1981 to December 1982 when the DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) went bankrupt with approximately 9,000 cars produced. By early 1982, DMC entered receivership, leading to reduced factory operations until May. Consolidated International later acquired unsold inventory and partially assembled cars, resuming production to finish the remaining vehicles on the line. These completed 1982 model year cars were re-designated as 1983 models by adjusting their VINs, increasing the number by 5,000, and altering the "CD" to "DD". This 5-speed 1983 example was sold new in Beverly Hills, California, and reportedly spent much of its life in a private collection. Showing only 779 miles on the odometer, this late-production DeLorean was previously offered for auction on PCARMARKET and is now being auctioned out of Texas accompanied by original documentation and service records dating back to 1993.
Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the DeLorean’s bodywork is made from SS304 austenitic stainless steel which resists corrosion and can be reconditioned using nonmetallic abrasives. The stainless-steel panels are laid over a fiberglass underbody and affixed to a steel frame chassis. It features gullwing doors supported by cryogenically treated torsion bars and nitrogen-charged struts. Other details include a louvered rear window, quad headlamps, black bumper covers, and dual exhaust outlets. This example rides on factory 14”x6” cast-alloy wheels dressed in 2020 Tiger Paw tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The grey interior features Bridge of Weir leather seats, air conditioning, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, intermittent windshield wipers, an electric rear-window defroster, a digital clock, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. The seller reports all gauges and electronics are working properly.
Featuring Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, the mid-mounted Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) 2.85L V6 engine delivers up to 130 HP and 153 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The four-wheel independent suspension includes double wishbones up front and a multilink setup in the rear. Stopping power is handled by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The seller states maintenance records are available dating back to 1993 and the car was recently fitted with a new engine cover as the original part had a crack.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, original sales literature, service records, and a clean title.

Well, I know it's the lowest-mile unicorn Delorean on the planet, carefully garaged for over 30 years, but if I have to change a dash light I'm sorry...I'm not bidding. I mean really, has the odometer turned over?
This car is in the wrapper, and the buyer will most likely keep it that way as the best example of a car that defined a generation of people doing coke, wearing platforms, and going to discos dressed like John Delorean did. If you haven't seen the Netflix on him you should https://youtu.be/p8rWz9np3W4?si=Xg99qzhDYoQZu6uk
I've not seen a Delorean in this condition. It's amazing. Once in a lifetime.

@altanri Dash lights work but appear dim to me in the daylight ,all other lights are working ,struts are good, radio turns on but I cant get a sound out of it
@altanri There is a lot of paperwork with this car to back up the mileage , the interior is orig. and has not been sprayed , obviously the odo hasnt rolled over.
@altanri I will go out shortly and go over everything , the A/C needs to be charged , it blows but not cold. We have replaced the drivers side window regulator , the idle control , the plastic latch that holds the rear bonnet and the fan relays
The CARFAX report doesn't show much of the history, where it has been by state in the past 41 years? The low milage is suspect due to the changes in ownership even as reported on CARFAX from 2012? Has the odometer rolled over at least once? I will need further information before I start bidding.
Any minor issues that I would like replaced like dash lighting, struts, anything that I would address upon ownership?
