Up for auction is an eye-catching Viper Green Porsche 911 ’73 RS recreation. This Porsche 911 started life as a 1983 Porsche 911 SC coupe and remained that way until it was transformed into this extremely high-quality one-off 911 that you see here. According to the seller, no detail was overlooked and this car is in turn-key, ready to be driven condition.
In preparation for the build, the body was completely disassembled and taken down to bare metal with all glass removed. Metal panels were used for the hood and front fenders while the front and rear bumpers are the correct fiberglass panels along with the traditional ducktail. The body work and panel fitment were performed by the well-know restoration shop, Foreign Specialties, located in Manville, NJ. All polished aluminum trim, door handles and mirrors were replaced with new and correct pieces from an early 1973 long-nose era vehicle. In addition, the car was fitted with the correct rubber closure clamps on the hood and trunk as well as Italian tail light lenses and European H4 headlights.
Powering this 911 is an SC 3.0 air-cooled flat-six engine that was rebuilt approximately 4,000 miles ago and then tuned by known Porsche specialist Powertech of Rockway, NJ. During the rebuild, the motor was enhanced with a sport cam and updated chain tensioner. A front mounted oil cooler was set in behind the front spoiler. A Dansk Exhaust 2 with a new heat exchanger was also installed. The fuel injection system was completely rebuilt and upgraded to handle additional power. Delivering power to the rear wheels is a completely overhauled 915 manual transmission with a custom short shifter that was added to shorten the throws and make the shifting more precise.
The suspension was refreshed with new bushings and shocks and ride height was lowered to give it a more appropriate stance. This 911 is sitting on a set of Fuchs design wheels manufactured by Braid (17 x 8 front and 17 x 10 rear) mounted to a set of new Michelin Pilot Sports.
The cockpit of this gorgeous 911 was completely replaced in black vinyl with the correct doors, new dash panel trim, and RS lightweight carpets. Correct roll up windows for an RS were installed, however, it still retains the factory power sunroof. GTS bucket seats are fitted with matching green tartan plaid centers along with the traditional black bolsters and headrests.
The seller states that the interior is in excellent condition with no disappointments. Do not miss the opportunity to own this fun and unique Porsche that will satisfy any enthusiast who loves a pure driving experience. Accompanying the sale are recent service records and 2 sets of keys.

@Ambassador-Auto : no worries. Im in VA and thought I might take a ride to see it. I'll continue to follow. Thanks.
@Jjason3131 Just to add some clarity. The car is currently in NJ, however, my client who is a prominent collector, lives in Virginia where the car was up until the auction. We shipped it up to my location while I have it on consignment from him so I could physically represent the car and coordinate anyone who wanted to see it in person. If there was any confusion, I hope that clarifies.

To all interested, please note, additional pictures of the underside and door jambs have been added along with a video. Also, I have gone through this car again in detail and there are Alston signs of any other color but Viper Green. It was done without exception. Please let me know if you have more questions or would like to see it in person.
@reinyb The car does not have cats. I just submitted pictures of the underside and several videos of the car that should be uploaded by PCar Market shortly.
@splizaat Thanks for your question. I am not sure if this is the original color, but am in the process of trying to find out. However, there is no sign of any other color present anywhere on the car. When you pull back carpets, look in the engine bay or the underside, it was clearly done correctly if it wasn't Viper Green to start.
@Jjason3131 Hello and thanks for your interest. I will have pictures of the chassis posted in the next few days. it is extremely clean but I will take many shots to show all angles o the underside. Unfortunately, there was never a Dyno done on the car. I would welcome an inspection.
Does it have cats?

Was the car originally Viper Green? Or was that done with the backdate?
Pictures of chassis? Dyno results? Available for inspection?
