In addition to its iconic Turbo styling, this 1982 Porsche 930 Turbo has been upgraded with a RUF front bumper, a front oil cooler, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, KKK turbochargers, a RUF custom intercooler, and more. One of just 1,027 Porsche 930 Turbos produced for the 1982 model year, this example has been refinished in Guards Red over black upholstery. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Mexico.
This example is said to have been previously refinished in Guards Red. The Turbo-specific bodywork includes wide fenders and a Tea Tray rear spoiler, while a RUF front bumper incorporating an oil cooler and brake cooling inlets has additionally been fitted. A set of 17” 996 Turbo Twist wheels have been mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires from 2023 at the front and 2022 at the rear. The seller states the front driver’s corner appears to have been previously repaired, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with black leather upholstery. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, a radio, Porsche-branded floor mats, and VDO instrumentation. All gauges and accessories are reported to be in proper working order, and minor cosmetic wear is noted.
The air-cooled 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six engine is factory-rated at 296 HP and 304 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A RUF intercooler has been installed, along with KKK turbochargers, an oil cooler, and a custom exhaust system. The brake lines, CV boots, and battery are said to have been recently replaced. Additionally, the seller states that the transmission grinds in second gear and the clutch requires replacement.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is a rare find. We were lucky enough to find it when we did. Since we've had it, though, we haven't driven it nearly as much as we wanted to, and it has really just sat in the garage. It has been well maintained. But this car deserves to get out and run!”

@ThePorscheDoc No problems starting. No leaks that we can see anywhere. No idea if the windows were removed when painted.
@ThePorscheDoc I see the cold start video here. I am not sure what happened to the driving video but I will get that upload ASAP
Bid in the amount of $31,250

Any oil leaks?
Where the widows removed when painted?
Could we have a cold start and running videos?

Any idea when this was built? Looks like it got delivered in 11/81...
Can you please get us some pictures of inside the fronk with the spare out around the inside side panels and front pan?
@ThePorscheDoc Yes I just snapped to that. At the time I was just addressing his "engine out" concern.
@MD00NED Happy to help with shipping.
@Passion4Porsche Thanks!
That's what I figured. 3theleo ask about a 915 trans.
Hi, can you facilitate international shipping?
@ThePorscheDoc no its a 4 speed.
@GT3ORDIE it corners like a 1982 911 Turbo should! No there is no record anywhere of an accident but we can see that there was some spot welding repairs done to the front drivers side corner.
Does this 930 have a 915 transmission in it?
Bid in the amount of $31,000
Bid in the amount of $30,000
How does it corner? Do you have receipts from auto body work paint work?
@3theleo Yes exactly
@GT3ORDIE Yes
@GT3ORDIE We will get that done Monday.
“……gears grind in 2nd, and clutch needs replacing.” I assume the 915 transmission will need new synchros and tranny repair which requires complete engine out service?
Was the original color guards red?
An alignment report would give bidders more confidence because of the front end damage . Correction, speaking for myself
