Among Porsche's most iconic cars, the Porsche 928 is powered by a robust 4.5-liter V8 engine paired with an accommodating 3-speed automatic transaxle. This 1982 example comes finished in Platinum Metallic over a Chocolate leather interior. It is reported to have been regularly maintained, which includes changing all of the fluids within the last two years, addressing gaskets, seals, hoses, and filters as needed, and a recent rebuild of the transmission. Most recently cared for by a PCA judge and entrant, this three-owner 928 was recently sold on PCARMARKET and is now being offered for auction once again by its seller out of Florida as the original buyer failed to complete the transaction.
This 928 is finished in Platinum Metallic and rides on factory 16” Phone Dial wheels that are dressed in Continental tires dated from 2020. Notable exterior options include a sunroof and rear window wiper. The seller notes a few minor blemishes and the front bumper and left front fender have been replaced due to an incident at a mechanic’s shop. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Chocolate leather and includes optional six-way power Sport Seats, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, steering column tilt, an aftermarket Pioneer radio, and an updated R134 air conditioning system. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
This 928 is equipped with a 4.5-liter V8 that was factory rated at 236 HP and 280 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a recently rebuilt 3-speed automatic transaxle. Upgraded Bilstein shocks with front coil springs are said to have been installed, along with upgraded slotted brake rotors and pads. Recent maintenance items include all fluids changed within the last two years, and servicing the gaskets, seals, hoses, and filters as needed, along with the installation of a new fuel tank. The seller reports that there are currently no outstanding maintenance items.
This sale will include a clean title, four keys, Coco floor mats, owner’s manuals, and some documentation.
The seller would like you to know: "Thank you for visiting my 1982 928 listing. Under my 2 year ownership, I have taken so much time to make this an amazing daily driver and local car show winner. I am a recognized PCA judge and entrant and know how to prepare. The color pops and every day it is driven welcoming comments are made. Everything is up to date and ready to roll."

I have known the seller for years, he is a genuine Porsche enthusiast. I know this car from Porsche outings and it is in near perfect condition, mechanically and cosmetically. It is the kind of car I would buy and drive home, I have bought several California cars and New York cars and driven them home, it is a great way to get to know the car and have a great cross country experience. You can bid with confidence on this one. It should do quite well today. GLWTA

@JMineo Here is your chance.
Looks great. Love the videos. I had an Albert blue 928 very similar. The best car I ever had. Wish I
still owned it.
@buccicone OK , was one of the great movies back then. As nice as my car is, it`s value unfortunately will not be even close to the recently auctioned "RB 928" that sold for $1.8 million.
@911airfan Joel Goodson was the character played by Tom Cruise in Risky Business.
OK everyone, heading into the weekend and the final 4 days of my 1982 928 auction. Do your research and compare other 928`s to see the true value of this one. A great car for both 928 collectors or entry level 928 guys. You will get hooked on this model.

Thank you for the great observation. They are true pleasure to drive and comments every day boost your ego! Never appreciated when compared to a 911, but people who did could not afford them.
What a Beauty !, Looks like it has been well loved. 928's are absolute bargins in the marketplace, but not for long !
Don`t know that name. I bought it from Paul L. in 2021. He purchased it from the original owner in 1991, whose name I do not know.
Joel Goodson’s old car? Sure looks like it. Porsche, there is no substitute.
@mrboxsters For a Porsche is is not bad. My last 2 oil/filter changes ran about $180. I have a 991 Targa and my service last year ran in excess of $550.
Parts are really available, some from the dealer but there are several good after market suppliers. The one I have used the most is 928 International for new and used parts. Mark Anderson , the owner knows 928`s!
Bid in the amount of $5,000
Beautiful car! And sounds like it’s been maintained well. How expensive is maintenance compared to a 911 etc
