Available for auction is this 1982 Porsche 924 Turbo finished in Gambia Red over a tan interior. A major advancement for Porsche's original water-cooled transaxle sports car, the 924 was first offered in a turbocharged model in 1979 featuring an output of 150 HP. Representing the final year of Turbo production for the U.S. market, this 1982 example is said to have been cared for by a single owner up until the seller's acquisition in 2021. It comes equipped with factory Sport Seats, honeycomb alloy wheels, a removable sunroof, and air conditioning. Recently serviced and with less than 11k miles showing on the odometer, this 924 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Michigan.
Compared to a standard 924, the Turbo is distinguished by a race-inspired NACA duct hood, additional front air inlets, and a black polyurethane rear spoiler. This example is finished in Gambia Red, a color offered exclusively in 1982 on the 924 model. The seller notes one of the bumperettes is slightly damaged and that an OEM replacement part will accompany the sale. Features include pop-up headlights, a removable sunroof panel, and 15” ATS honeycomb wheel dressed in a set of Firestone FR710 tires from 2014. Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in tan leather with brown accents and a pair of factory Sport Seats. Amenities include power windows, air-conditioning, Porsche branded floor mats and door panel trim, Turbo script door sills, and an Alpine head unit. Under current ownership, the air conditioning system has been serviced with new gaskets and refrigerant, and all gauges, lights, and accessories and said to be working properly.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder equipped with a K26 turbocharger producing up to 150 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The Turbo model comes standard with front and rear anti rolls bars and a stiffer suspension compared to the base 924. Several service records have been provided by the seller and an oil and filter change was recently completed.
This sale will include a clean title.

@CScrogham thank you for the suggestion I believe the paint is original so if the buyer wants to buy a meter and run test that's fine im not going too the car is beautiful the year and mileage and knowing how it's been cared for the meter would be waste of time and money if it dont sell that's ok id bet there isn't 5 of these in the whole world this nice with that low of mileage
@Alvin1571 While there is still time, might I suggest finding a friend or local paint/body shop with a meter or buying an inexpensive one off Amazon. With no in-person inspection possible the meter is the only way to verify.
@CScrogham I haven't had any test done on paint I would say its original I have all the maintenance records car fax reports aso going off the records I have I will say yes the paint is original this car has never spent a night outside always been in a garage under a car cover
@Alvin1571 please don't take this the wrong way, but I would appreciate a more complete answer to that before bidding.

@GLTL when we pulled it outside must've bumped wipers on delay im guessing they are down all the way now and all the guages work as they should
@GLTL I am not positive on that I know all the guages and everything work I will look at it this afternoon and have an answer
@seller Can you confirm that all the gauges, controls, modules (AC, Washer, etc.) work correctly?
Please comment on the windshield wipers, and how they are (not) parked.
Thanks!
@Early944 the car runs great drives great purchased in July 2021 we start it once a week have only put maybe 20 miles on it ran and drove perfectly on the express way running up to 85 mph car is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically
Seller - please comment on how the car runs and drives and how regularly the car has been driven and started in the last few years. Thanks.
This has to be from a collector. Unheard of condition now a days but certainly out there in private collections. Turbo putting out what a 924S na engine puts out, but being Turbo, you can extract a bit more HP. The seats and script door panels alone in original new condition are worth thousands. Wow, I say this one can get $25-$35k in today's market, but it all depends on how many actually tune in to PCARMARKET. The reserve on this one has to be over $20k
Nice - Why are the wipers up?
This is lovely!
