Initially delivered in Germany, this 1982 Porsche 911SC Coupe was ordered in Paint to Sample Dark Blue over Blue partial leather. The car was then imported to the United States in 1986 and subsequently fitted with a RUF-style front bumper, authentic 930 fenders, custom fender air intakes, and a 993 RS-style rear wing. Furthermore, the flat-six engine was upgraded with a displacement increase to 3.2 liters, twin-plug ignition, SSI heat exchangers, and enhanced cooling. Showing approximately 49k miles on the odometer, this modified 911SC is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

This example was ordered in Dark Blue from Porsche’s Paint to Sample collection and has received a custom metallic coating. Modifications include a RUF-style front bumper with integrated fog lights, authentic steel 930 widebody front and rear fenders, 964-sourced aero mirrors, 964 Turbo S Leichtbau–style rear fender air inlets, and a 993 RS–style rear wing. Additional features include an electric sunroof, H4 headlights, and 16” Fuchs wheels with colored Porsche-crested center caps wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires from 2022. The seller notes minor paint imperfections, including a small blemish on the upper left fender and light road wear on the rear fenders. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin presents Blue partial leather upholstery paired with a black dashboard, steering wheel, and upper door panels. Modifications include 8-way power-adjustable high-back front seats and a 930 shifter. Accessories also include VDO instrumentation, an upgraded stereo, and two speakers integrated within the rear shelf. All gauges are confirmed to be in proper working order, and the seller notes the heater is currently inoperable although all necessary components are present.

The air-cooled flat-six engine has been enlarged to 3.2 liters and upgraded with twin-plug ignition, SSI heat exchangers, and a front-mounted oil cooler. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 915 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that downshifting into first gear requires the car to be moving slowly, and a minor oil leak develops after extended periods of sitting.

This sale will include a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a clean title, a spare tire, and a car cover.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for looking at my auction on this very nice widebody twin-plug conversion. This 911 has been well-maintained over the years and still presents very well, always drawing a crowd. With a very rare Paint to sample dark blue, this car could very well be the first and only L347 dark blue in existence, according to the PPS report and owner's research.”

@tommeron as far as I know the car was built in the mid 90’s and that’s when it went through the modification’s and engine upgrades when it had roughly 33k miles now has 49k so it was stored more than driven. I’ve put on approx 2k trouble free miles on it . Hope this helps

@911scuro Again, I appreciate the responses. Any idea when the engine was rebuilt?

@tommeron thanks for the bid, I understand that its always hard to bid on something with lack of a maintenance trail. I was also told it was built with a 930 upgraded oil pump but again it's just hearsay without proof and opening it up. Judging by the quality of the build I don't think they skimped on anything .

@911scuro Appreciate the quick response. A leak down would be amazing. And given the lack of records, a full PPI would go a long way toward upping the bids as well. Beautiful Color!!

@tommeron I do not have records of rebuilt other than what I'm told is the prior owner had his work done by a private Porsche mechanic who got ill . I have changed the oil recently with Valvoline Vr1 20/50 and changed Transmission oil with swepco 201 The car does not burn any oil or smoke I can try to do a leak down test if I get time before the end of auction.

@911scuro Any records of the rebuild or maintenance? Dates, receipts, etc? Also, any chance of getting a leak down report completed?
