Finished in Grand Prix White over a Black partial leather interior, this 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa is said to have been cared for by the same owner for the last 21 years and benefits from an engine rebuild completed within the last 7k miles. This 911SC is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
This 911SC is finished in Grand Prix White with a black Targa band and removable roof panel. Other equipment includes front fog lights, headlamp washers, a heated glass rear window, a fender-mounted antenna, a tail panel reflector with “PORSCHE” lettering and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in Falken tires. The seller notes some areas of the car have been refinished and various dings, chips, and scratches are present throughout the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report.
Inside, this 911SC is appointed with Black leather and vinyl upholstery along with matching carpets and a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel. Accessories include power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, a quartz clock, a locking glovebox, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo. The seller recommends the seats be reupholstered and the A/C system recharged. The passenger window switch on the driver’s side is inoperable while all other accessories and electronics are said to be fully functional. A mileage discrepancy is noted on the CARFAX report as the odometer was previously replaced.
An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 180 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller indicates a major service and engine rebuild was completed along with the installation of a new clutch within the last 7k miles. Some service records are provided for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, service records, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Great car mechanically, underneath is very nice. Needs cosmetics and seat covers. 0 rust underneath, the clutch doesn’t chatter, runs and drives great. Doesn’t smoke on startup.”

@area901 I have submitted these photos 3 times now , I dont know why they arent showing up yet
@area901 My fault , Im looking at the actual tickets and on the ones submitted you cant see that , I have uploaded better photos so you can see that now , sorry about the confusion
Sorry but I suppose I'm getting blind and I do not see where it lists 24 studs on any parts description.
Bid in the amount of $25,555
Very good information - thanks!
@area901 I see where it says head stud replacement , if you look down at the parts description it shows 24 head studs. Apparently it was in the shop for much longer than it should have been and as a courtesy he replaced them all is what I gather.
If you look at the bottom of the ticket the date was 4/10/07 It was done less than 7,000 miles ago
The receipt that lists rebuild parts states only one head stud that was replaced. Is this correct and if so why weren't they all replaced with updated studs as long as the motor was apart? Is there a date of the rebuild that I cannot see?
- thank you

Thanks for the response on the hood. What about the engine compartment question.
@Surfdog1 .... The front bonnet was open and the wind caught it and lifted it up , there are a lot of of small chips around the car .
Your seeing the light reflection on one of the photos , look at photo # 50
What happened to the front hood on the car both corners are lifted and a lot of paint is chipped off. Also the pictures of the engine compartment look different. What happened to all of the stickers. Thanks
