Now available for auction is this 1982 Porsche 911SC finished in Quartz Grey Metallic over a brown interior. Reported to have been under the care of the same family from new, this 5-speed 1982 example has covered over 372k miles and shows an extensive history of service on CARFAX dating back to 1990. Staying true to its factory appearance, this attractive driver-grade 911SC is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 911SC is finished in Quartz Grey Metallic and the paint is said to remain well-presented with some cosmetic imperfections as depicted in the photo gallery. CARFAX shows damage to have occurred in 2003 and in 2019, with the latter reported as a collision with a deer resulting in the right front fender being replaced with a new OEM part. The headlights and side markers are said to have been replaced as well. Factory features include front fog lights, U.S. market bumperettes, and 16” Fuchs wheels which are currently dressed in a mixed set Yokohama/Continental tires. CARFAX shows two new tires to have been mounted in 2020 at 372,475 miles.
Inside, you will find a brown interior with leather-trimmed seats, a 930SE-style steering wheel, upgraded speakers, and an aftermarket Alpine stereo. The dashboard has been previously reupholstered, and the seatbacks show noticeable signs of wear.
This SC is equipped with an air-cooled 3.0L flat-six engine that sends up to 180 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox. A Carrera chain tensioner upgrade has been carried out along with the installation of upgraded Turbo lower vale covers. The engine is said to have been rebuilt at some point in the last 80k miles, although there is no supporting documentation available. CARFAX shows an extensive history of service beginning in 1990, and the original Porsche maintenance log shows service stamps from new up to 2008 at 274k miles.
This sale will include the owner's manuals, the original maintenance log, and a clean title. A well-enjoyed and properly cared for 911SC, this 1982 example makes an ideal driver for any air-cooled Porsche enthusiast.

I just revived the service documents! It's over 100 documents dating back to 2002. A lot of 3,000 mile maintenance/tune ups, suspension work, brakes, AC, engine oil leaks, ignition components, etc. Very detailed and consistent service records. The previous owner states that the records from 1990-2002 are in storage and hopes he can retrieve them for me soon.

@steve-racer The previous owner found some service records going back to 2014. Unfortunately, they arrive Monday and I'm not 100% sure that the engine work is in there.
As for a leak down and compression test, we can suggest a few local shops that can do that for you. We'll gladly take care of transporting the car to and from.

No smoke at start up and no major oil leaks. The pictures of the underside start at number 101. As you can see, the valve covers and timing chain covers were recently done. See pics 101, 102, and 103.
Rust is very minor. None on the underside but there is a small spot on the inner fender wall on the front passenger. You can see it on Pic number 95. I'll check the battery tray and other common spots, but I don't recall any other rust issues.
This car is VERY roadworthy. It drives great! I'll get a drive video up today. Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in our SC. We recently acquired this car from a parts customer of ours. He personally took ownership in 1990 and used it as his daily driver for over 30 years. The car was regularly serviced/maintained and currently runs very well. Incredibly, the car drives and looks better than a lot of 100K+ miles SCs I've seen. This is a true testament to the quality and importance of proper upkeep of these air cooled Porsches.
This is a great opportunity to acquire an air cooled 911 Coupe that, with a few cosmetic improvements, can be a beautiful and reliable driver. This could also make a perfect foundation for a custom/outlaw build.
