This 1982 Land Rover 88 Series III is reported to have been the recipient of a 1,000-hour+ frame-off nut and bolt restoration after being imported to the United States from South America. The restoration included a bare-metal repaint in Dodge Go Mango orange, a Raptor-lined undercarriage, an Exmoor Trim black full soft top, Exmoor Trim Deluxe front seats, an upgraded Speedhut instrument cluster, an American ash wood-lined cargo area with an integrated dry bar, a rebuild of the original 2.25L inline-four, an Old Man Emu balanced parabolic spring kit and shocks, 16” wheels with all-terrain tires, a P38 Range Rover power steering system, a custom stainless steel exhaust system, a Pertronix Flame Thrower ignition, LED headlights, and more. This custom-restored Land Rover 88 Series III is now being offered by its seller in Florida.
The body was removed from the chassis during the restoration, inspected for imperfections, and refreshed with OEM Land Rover parts where needed. Equipment includes upgraded LED headlights and smoked side markers, an Exmoor Trim black full soft top, a front steel bumper, a hood-mounted spare tire, fender-mounted mirrors, a fold-down split windscreen, and an American ash wood-trimmed cargo door. The Land Rover 88 Series III is powered by a 2.25L inline four-cylinder engine rebuilt and fitted with a new Weber carburetor, a Pertronix Flame Thrower electronic distributor, and Pertronix ignition coils. All four wheels are driven by a 4-speed manual transfer and dual-range transfer case. @Manutranman5217 yes, I will work on uploading a driving video by tomorrow. The maximum speed I have driven it is 45 mph on 4th gear. The top speed is probably 50-55 pushing it.
Wow. The agony and the ecstasy! Would you please post an actual driving video? Also, what is the top speed of this restomod? Thanks.
