The last mid-engine 2+2 Ferrari model, the Mondial was produced in several variations from 1980 to 1993 featuring Pininfarina-designed bodywork and a V8 engine paired with a gated 5-speed manual transmission. This 1982 example represents the original Mondial 8 Coupe model with a fuel-injected 2.9-liter V8 DOHC engine and two valves per cylinder. Finished in red over black leather, it is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 42k miles showing on the odometer.
This Mondial 8 is finished in red with black bumpers and body moldings. The Pininfarina-designed exterior features pop-up headlamps, integrated fog lights, a front spoiler, dual black mirrors, side air intakes, quad exhaust tips, and a vented engine cover flanked by flying buttress C-pillars. This example rides on refurbished 17” Ferrari 348 alloy wheels dressed in new tires. A clean CARFAX report and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery.
The four-seater cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery and matching carpets. Accessories include a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, a sunroof, Ferrari emblem floor mats, a gated shifter assembly, analog Veglia Borletti instrumentation, and a Jensen cassette stereo. The seller indicates the sunroof is inoperable and the dashboard upholstery shows delamination.
Equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, the transversely mounted 2.9-liter Tipo F106B Dino V8 engine delivers up to 214 HP and 181 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car features rack & pinion steering, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, and unequal-length double-wishbone suspension with Koni dampers. The seller states the car was recently serviced with new fluids.
This sale will include a spare tire and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Car runs great, no rust, very clean.”

in terms of smog, I’m sorry if I created more confusion. the car has not recently been smog. If it ends up selling to a California resident, I will have it smogged before delivery.
@dinodinodino - lots of things here to answer. The car was stored indoors and it shows from the condition of the interior and exterior of the car. I agree that it’s not good for cars to sit a lot, but this car was started on a regular basis since I’ve had it and has also been driven here and there. I have over 30 cars so I don’t really get to drive any of them all that much. I do not have paperwork on the timing belt as the previous owner did it . himself right before I purchased the car. This was verified by Dino Motors when they first saw the car they went through it and confirmed the belts were new. The car will come with the tuneup and work done by Dino Motors, which includes some electrical troubleshooting and a fluid flush. I put brand new tires on the car and it comes with the original rims. When I purchased the car, it did not have tools or the owners manual.
Sent you direct message as well… thx
I have owned 150 euro cars and many Ferrari and after a couple hundred miles over 17 years, most all cars, especially these Italian and German would need extensive major service of all the seals , gaskets, bushings, mounts, shocks, lines , etc …. Especially noticed after several hundred miles are to be driven next ……
So essentially the car has not run in the past 17 years ? Stores indoors.
You have paperwork of the timing belt from what year ?
What service did you recently do?
You say for out of state but then you say in comments you will smog for CA?
Here if anyone has any last minute questions....

@Collexxxter, the timing belt was done just prior to my ownership about 2 and a half years ago, the AC blows cold, I'll take some pictures of the dash and upload. I will check on the OEM rims (I have 3, need to locate the 4th). No know needs other than the sunroof is inoperable. The car runs and drives great
@EuroClassix - oh and sorry, SMOG pass?
@EuroClassix - few questions please: 1) last timing belt/water pump service date please? 2) AC blow cold 3) show close ups of dash delimitation please 4) OEM rims w/ car or not? 5) any known needs?
